Yesterday, I received a package from Doc. When I opened it, I found a letter and a small box inside.
The letter read, "Dear You, Ms. Clara and I send a slightly early Christmas present for you. It's a cube used in the future, called a 'Conveyor Void cube.' We'd love to give it to you in person, but we're going on a trip for about a month, so please forgive us for sending it by mail."
When I opened the box, I found a beautiful Void cube, each piece of which was illuminated with LEDs.

However, upon closer inspection, I noticed some features that were clearly different from a regular Void cube.
First, the cube doesn't rotate. Since the cube is equipped with LEDs, instead of rotating the slices, you can swipe your finger across the surface to change the color of each LED, creating the visual effect of a rotating slice. This was well expected, so it wasn't a problem.
Next, the LED color changes were strange. For example, when I swiped a bit the R slice to rotate it, the LEDs lit up as follows:
- The color of the eight sides of the R slice (the center is hollow) didn't change at all.
- The color of the 12 faces on the R slice (three faces each on the top, bottom, front, and back of the right column of the cube) each shifted "by one" in the direction of rotation. (In a normal cube, each would shift three spaces forward.)
Due to these two factors, the R slice and R face moved independently, changing the color combinations possessed by both the CP and EP. Also, moving "by one" CP or EP would cause the outer color of the CP to change to the outer color of the EP, or vice versa.
(Example: R swipe moves only the outside colors by 1/3 QTM)
(Example: U swipe moves only the outside colors by 1/3 QTM)
This seems similar to the 2x2 Special cube that Master Yoda came up with. Master Yoda's is 2x2, while Doc's is 3x3, but the concept of changing CP and EP color combinations is common to both.
Perhaps years later, Master Yoda's conjecture was proven and someone applied it to 3x3 and commercialized it.
The EP and CP colors change so rapidly that I don't think I could solve it. I wish all readers good luck if they try to create this cube virtually using a computer program.
