I'm getting sub 3 averages of 12 more often now, but I still have to roll most of the time. This average of 12 was in a session of 41 solves :fp
There's probably some solves with stern sun in there, but I mostly use guimond.
6-10 is a 2.79 avg 5

Average of 5: 2.32 :D Second fastest ever. Easy PBLs. Part of a 3.003 avg 12 :fp
1. 2.28 R F2 R F R' F U R U' R' U'
2. 2.30 F2 U2 F2 U' F R2 U' R F' R' U'
3. (2.61) U F R' F R2 U' R F' U2 R2 U'
4. 2.38 R2 U2 R U' R U R' U2 F2 R' U' (Ortega)
5. (2.12) F' R2 U2 R U' F' U' F' U' R' U'
Sorry for the bad lighting.

Of course, my tutorials and PBs are in my sig

I am tempted to try to get good with Guimond because of this. Is it a hard switch from ortega?

Bests are: 2x2 1/5/12/100 = 0.67/2.40/2.70/3.61

I started with ortega as well (I never got as fast as you with it.)

Its quite a different method to ortega, but it has the same last step: PBL. I didn't find it too hard to switch to though.

I'd say you don't have to fully switch to guimond. I think learning it may help you force/see OLL skips.(or maybe that is stern sun....)

I'd recommend looking at my tutorials. I teach the separation without algorithms(except for sexy moves), so you won't have to learn any new algs.(As you know PBL already)

You could also look at Erik's written tutorial.

Whenever I have tried it(Best average of 12 is like 6) I feel as if you could do separation and PBLL at the same time. Do you do that sometimes?

I will be sure to watch you tutorials.

No.
I do the first three steps in one look/movement and figuring out how to skip the PBL is beyond me, because I'm done the separation after the first movement.
