1x1 wrh!'s 3d printed cubing projects | 15cm 5x5

Thank you so much to @1x1 wr holder! Ever since I thought of this over 11 months ago it’s been great seeing the progress updates until I finally got one of my own!

He was a pleasure to buy from, if anyone else wants to then you can trust him. He paid and shipped it out first and then I paid him after :)

I’ll be having lots of fun with this new cube, definitely showing it off at my next comp

so there's like 4 more grueling weeks of school (exams every week smh). But I'm giving myself motivation and am planning my first summer project....

a 15cm 5x5 (was gonna do 30 but...) here's some photos of what i've done so far. I had some help on the puzzlemakers discord getting started with the theory, and now it's just a lot of repetive work cleaning up the pieces before i can start printing. the gray pieces are all blocky and raw. something like the red one is what I have to do with the fillet tool in order for it to work in real life. I'm going to slowly print while i study for exams, but once I am free, I'm going to try and speedrun this to bring to western champs and get some signatures on it. I'll update after a few parts have been printed (or if drama happens). have a nice dayy.

15cm 5x5 update: first year of college is done and I’m finally having some fun. I finished designing all the pieces and printing is going well. I’m trying to finish the entire cube before westerns so I can take it with me and get some signatures.

note: all the edge pieces are printed in white and will have colored caps just like a cube with primary internals. corner are made in that split piece design, and center pieces are printed with respected colors. all to achieve stickerless

Well i've finally caught up on my sleep from my weekend at westerns, and I'm happy to say that I was able to speedrun the 5x5 just in time to bring it to the final day! Big thanks to everyone who stopped by, complimented the cube, and gave words of encouragement. I was quite literally working on the puzzle at westerns while more pieces were printing at home lol. Also thanks to the very best speedcubing retailer SpeedCubeShop for the lube for this puzzle (half bottle of galaxy XD, worked great @camcuber ).

The cube turns wonderfully and is breaking in more and more every day. The cube got scrambled and solved several times on the last day of westerns, and there were no pops which is great! only thing is that the cube lacks stability since im just using 3x3 springs, but i will order some stronger/longer ones.

Sell the design and get it injection molded!!

Also you should definitely post a solve video.
