1x1 wrh!'s 3d printed cubing projects | 15cm 5x5

No, mass production would not be possible. I only have one printer at the moment, and it takes approximately 8 hours per puzzle. As for a tutorial, there is no point in making one if I can't mass produce these.
Could you put the files on Thingiverse? I might try printing it, and I know that other people would too.

when it's done, sure, but for now, I haven't even printed it, much less know if it even works. after I work out all the kinks and what not, I'll make a thingiverse account and post some stuff.

I am currently printing the compass cube v2. I couldn't start earlier since I was printing christmas presents and such, but now that the season is coming to a close, it's time to get busy. I might need to buy more magnets tho as I will need about 50 in order to magnetize it. Here’s what I’ve done so far:

Nice!

okay, the cold air here is warping the plastic. I printed a whole batch of corner and edge pieces and had to throw them all away including the middle slice layer of the puzzles becuz of minor of major warping issues. will now have to slowly print pieces one at a time in order to receive accurate results. from what i have gathered tho, this puzzle will turn out better than v1. I have also begun using graphite to smoothen some of the tracks.

Okay, took a break from this, but am back. currently have about 2.5 hours worth of printing left and then I'm going to have to buy more magnets cuz this thing needs a wopping 44 2x4 neodymium magnets. If this puzzle actually works well with magnets, then I may consider selling these. My parents told me to not give away the files too soon, cuz I could have something. Also I have a question. If I were to sell the files. Is there anything that would keep one person from buying them and then just giving them away for free? do purchased files have some sort of protection on them?

I have printed the three layers of the puzzle now and am currently on the edges and corner pieces. I made the magnet slots in all of the pieces slightly deeper than the magnets height so that the magnets don't touch each other this is so that the magnet strength isn't too much. some parts of this puzzle have up to bonded magnets which would take about 8 pounds of force to move. that isn't a lot but would make a significant click and I want this puzzle to turn not snap. here are some photos of the magnetized pieces and how they go together.

Or I can make a review on it if you'd like
yeeah, I thought about that but then what. I'm not selling it yet. I may or may not share the files, it'd be easier for me to just do it myself I guess and you could help edit, but I'm still not sure yet. lemme just print it out first, get everything in order and then I'll think about marketing lol.

as for how I will color this puzzle. I'm probably going to go with 3d printed tiles. they are much more robust than sticker and I can epoxy them on for maximum, overkill, strength. stickers aren't fantastic for 3d printed parts, and this is a very custom puzzle with some small pieces that may not take to the stickers to well. I don't want to paint it either as I don't want to buy six color of spray pain or whatever.
