When executing a turn like (U2), what would be the best way to do it: use your index finger twice, or use your index finger once followed by your middle finger to finish? I have been consistently using the first method described above and I have recently come across the second method. Should I switch?

This is what I do:

R2: wrist
L2: wrist
U2: index-middle
F2: index-middle
B2:index-middle
D2: ring-ring
M2: ring-middle

Yes, I think you should switch, when you practice the index-middle fingertrick it gets much faster than index-index

Almost the same but B2 is mostly wrist sometimes index-middle. D2 is sometimes wrist, sometimes ring-pinky sometimes ring-ring.. depends on my mood :D

R2: Wrist
L2: Wrist
U2: Index-middle
D2: ring-middle

The rest depends on the alg, Usually:
F2: index-middle
B2: ring-middle

but in one of the A-perms I use index-middle for B2 and for F I use ring (and if I would need F2 I'd use ring-middle)

Mostly like everyone else, but sometimes if it's preceded by an R, I'll do a U2 as thumb-left index (like in the R perms). I usually tend to wrist D2's as well. For M2 I do ring middle, but not because I think it's faster, I just think it's the most fun :p (and looks the coolest).

I don't know how anyone could use their pinky, I find it so awkward.

U2, F2, B2, and D2 I use double flicks (ring then middle).
R2 and L2 I use wrist.
M2 I use R' r with ring at same time to finish the second M' turn

definitely use the double flick method, it is so much faster once you get really good at it.

U2 - index+middle
F2 - index+middle
B2 - index+middle
D2 - wrist
R2 - wrist
L2 - wrist
M2 -Ring+ Middle (bigcubes, r2+R2)
E2 - Middle for first turn+wrist for the next
S2 - thumbx2 (I hold the URF and URB pieces on U with my index and middle and then flick twice with my right thumb)
