Increasing the WCA 2x2 minimum move count?

Does anyone else think that 4 moves is too few for an official 2x2 minimum scramble sequence? Imagine explaining to a non cuber that you can get a 2x2 scramble in a competition that's only 4 turns away from being solved. Now that 4 pad mode is coming and there will be a seperate list of 4 pad times, why not also increase the minimum move count? Now would be the time to make that change before the 4 pad top world rankings are all 4 movers.

I don't see other people expressing this view so I'm curious if top 2x2 solvers or anyone in general think it's a good idea or not. The only thing I found was a discussion thread from 2008, and then 4 movers become allowed after that.

It would make official 2x2 single more interesting. I'm not sure what a good minimum optimal scramble would be, maybe 9 moves? Ziyu Ye's 0.39 isn't likely to ever get beaten on 4 pad mode with a 4 mover so why not start something new?

no

I had hoped it would be changed to 5 moves years ago but thats not feasible anymore IMO. 6 might have made sense if it was set at the beginning, but doesnt make sense at this point. Definitely against any rankings resets

Anything higher would eliminate too many cube states. The majority of scrambles are 8 or 9 moves
