After doing a coaching session with Luke Griesser last Monday, he told me to learn full OLL, so I learned it in 3 days.

Probably wont use them in my timed solves bc I have a comp in a month, but after that, I will switch to OLL/PLL with occasional ZBLL, with the condition that I am comfortable enough with my ZB that I wont mind seeing them 8x less by the end of my comp.

Wait, wait, wait wait. You knew full ZBLL and not full OLL?
I know if you just force a cross it doesn’t matter, but that’s still crazy.

Training log:
M: Did coaching session, and learned a few OLLs, did a LU gen ao100 where I started with cross unsolved, until F2L was done. Did a lot of solves, both timed and untimed, with the untimed focused on if F2L pieces are in a slot, taking them out in the correct way

T: Continued learning OLLs, did a bit of cross efficiency practice, a lot of solves, but main cube broke

W: Finished OLL, and did untimed solves with OLL PLL

R: Did untimed solves with OLL PLL, and did a review on all of the OLLs

F: Got a new cube, so just did solves (EO ZB), got PB avg of 9.66 and PB2 9.67, and 6.68 PB Single

St: Did LU-gen ao100

Sa: Did 25 7-move cross training. Here, the goal is to make sure the cross efficient, and I can rescramble as many times as needed and look at the cross while doing the solution, as long as I eventually find a 7 mover, or if I cannot find a 7 mover, I put a DNF, but make sure to get 1 move hints to understand the way the cross is made before going on to next scramble. Today was 22/25 successes

Hey, do you have any advice for learning ZBLL (and if so, what set of algs are you using?). Looking to get into it, but it seems pretty daunting.
For recognition, BH is the best way to recog ZB imo. I think this vid does a good job of explaining it.

Also, make sure to learn COLL first, as it will be helpful to gain practice with Corner Permutation Recog.

For a place to learn the algs, I recommend https://pepkin88.me/zbll-explorer/. It has a bunch of algs for each case. Also, take advantage of the fact that it will also tell you what the inverse case is, as you can learn 2 algs for the price of 1 if you learn an alg and its inverse. It will tell you the mirror case as well, but sometimes, you will need to do an alg that is nothing like the mirror of the original case, as an alg that is too LUF gen for example might have a better RUF for example.https://pepkin88.me/zbll-explorer/

Once you know the algs, you will need to train them. After you learn a set, you will want to review the algs to make sure they are in your head. https://mihlefeld.github.io/Alg-Trainers/index.html is a good tool to use.

What's your opinion on using ZBLL with full colour neutrality? Would recognising cases be significantly harder compared to just dual colour neutrality (which I think you use)?

CN ZB recog shouldn’t be harder if you alr do CN. I used to be CN, and even now, sometimes I do CN solves for fun, and the zb recog usually isn’t much different. I imagine someone who has stuck with CN would not have any problems

Do you mentally twist corners, or are all 36 cases separate to you?
