Don't really know if this is the right place for my question lol... but what is a good lube to use on this cube? Mine came in yesterday and I used standard lubicle. It was really fast at first but after maybe 30 solves its getting kinda slower... does it get better again after more solves?
There`s a lubrication thread on the hardware area, i believe its a sticky threat now.

My Aosu is experience popping issues with the small internal pieces... and I'm wondering if I'm the only one.

On the Weisu, if an internal piece popped out, you could keep going with the solve and put it back in when you were done with the solve. But when you get an internal Pop with the Aosu, you can't continue, and the piece is much more difficult to get back in. It's extremely annoying. I've tried different conbinations of tensions and type of lube, and it hasn't gone away.

I get an internal pop every 2 to 3 time every 100 solves, so not too often. But this isn't the reputation the Aosu seems to have... with everyone else saying "never pops", "pops are impossible", "unpoppable"... and that's simply not the case for me.

So... anyone else?

It popped on me once and it was just because of my bad turning. Other than that, it never happened.
But I have to agree, putting in that piece is really annoying..

I know some people recommend no lube on the Weisu. What about this one? Lube or no lube?

The AoSu is a very good cube indeed !!!

i am looking forward to buying it

i am currently using a shenshou 4x4
it is a very bad choice though....

i think you can blindly go for the AoSU and all moyu products are just gr8 !!!

how did you fix it, mine is experiencing the same issues

I haven't been able to fix it yet, but I did finally figure out what the issue was. If I turn an outer layer while the inner layer isn't completely aligned, (Like doing U after an Rw) something pushes it out of place... and it only needs to be misaligned by a 1/3 of a cubie. After that, the center piece isn't there to hold it back anymore and it can pop out.

Here's a picture I caught of a pop during OLL Parity. The pop occured while doing a U2 after doing Rw'

I don't think it's the edge piece that catches it. It might be the base of the corner piece. But it could also simply be friction between the small piece and the big internal piece... dragging it along during a U2. I only really started understanding the issue last night. I'm going to play around with different tensions and lubing. If excess friction is the cause, that should be the remedy. Short of that, internal catching is the only other explanation... that and sucking at 4x4.

This happens to mine as well if its too loose, but all cubes will pop if the cube´s too loose. If i just tighten it a tiny bit it solves the problem.

Kinda wish I could have the cube a tad looser tho!

I think you and I just want the cube a bit looser than most people.

On the contrary, in my case. This will happen even at very tight tensions.

The only way to prevent it altogether is to tighten it beyond where the cube is any fun to use. At which point it's pretty locky and barely corner cuts.

I've had that pop a couple of times (the piece has never fully escaped and could be persuaded to go back into place), mine is just tight enough that I don't get lots of catching from it being too loose. I think breaking in will help, then might adjust tensions a little more. I was expecting and hoping it would be faster than it is, maybe I just haven't lubed it well enough. I don't want to tighten it much further as it is slower on tighter tensions. It's still decently fast though, and it's better than my modded SS.

I haven't seen anyone mention it having slightly clicky double layer turns, it's weird since I'm not used to it but I'll probably adjust soon. The slices feel a lot different from my SS, which is making BLD feel weird, but it should be fine with practice.

I seem to have the same problem…

I´ve been tightening it a little bit at the time, now it finally stopped popping but its too slow to use

The cube is totally awesome except för the pops, which kinda makes it useless :(
