Recently I've been going balls to the wall trying to get my 11x11 solves down. Now, I'm a bit curious how quickly some forum members here can solve it, and about where I am standing in the world. My current fastest time is 31:18.26, done on cubetimer.com and, of course, only hand scrambled (I scramble for like 10 minutes). I would guess that I'm somewhere in the top ten, but I am only really making that assumption based on the videos i've seen on youtube, where only 3-4 have done it faster than me. I've also looked at the UWR page on the wiki here, http://www.speedsolving.com/wiki/index.php/List_of_UWR

How quickly can you guys do it, and how many people do you know that solve it pretty quickly(<40min)?

Cube sims don't count, I'm looking at you, qqwref!

Edit: I own a white yuxin 11x11 that I've restickered with cubesmith brights, for those who are curious.

I also own a black Yuxin 11x11.
I think I've solved it twice, time somewhere between 2-3 hours.
Although I wouldn't really call it speedsolving...

You're pretty fast. If I recall, back when izovire was still around, he was pretty close to sub 20. But yes, your speed is very impressive regardless.

And you shouldn't use cubetimer.com, as you have to hand scramble. Use qqTimer; there's an 11x11 scrambler under 'Other Puzzles'.

Well, most of the reason that I hand scramble is that I don't want to go through a 150 move scramble. I'm pretty terrible with algorithm notation anyway. I guess you're probably right, but it seems like an unimportant argument with such a big cube.

hand scrambled (I scramble for like 10 minutes)
150 moves should take less than 10 minutes, unless you take 4 seconds to do one turn. I haven't scrambled a cube larger than 5x5 (where scrambling notation is just R and r) before, so I don't know how difficult it is to read that notation, but I can't imagine it taking that long.

I can rip through 400-500 moves in 10 minutes. Doing alg scrambles are tougher for me, because they are not as fun, and because I have to look at the screen, figure out what its saying, and then perform it one move at a time. Here is an example alg scramble:

R3' D32 F' R3' D42 F22 R22 B2' F2' R4' D32 B5 L5' B3 U32 R3' F' B22 R52 L4' F5' D2' B3' D R5 U4 B5' D42 L42 D3 U3' B F D3 U42 L2' R42 F' B' L2 U2 L2 D2' R2' D4 U2 F3 B52 R2' F2' B4' L5 U4 L22 U B3 F3 U3 B42 D2' R5 L' B5 U5 D4' R2 U5' L3' U3 R3 U52 F D F22 U D4 L2 R2 B5 L2 U3 L22 R4' B52 D2 F32 D52 U2 B4 L52 B3 L3' F4 D2' F' L3' B52 L5 D42 U32 B2' F5' D3' U4' F2 R5 U' F42 R4 U2' L3' F3' B42 L2 F' R4 L D3 U2 R3' B2 L4' U2 L42 U2 L2' R' B2 R2 D3 B4 U D3 B2 R32 U2 D4' F3' U4' L5' R32 U2' F2 L4 U3 B5 L2 F2 D32 B2

I could practice and learn to do it better, but I've always kind of had a hard time with alg notation. If I get close to izo's UWR (I'll bet he hand scrambled) I'll start to use algs.
