IRL Cubing Scavenger Hunt (2013)

This is a great idea. :) It really is. I think every one is reasonable except the one which is a Team BLD with someone who has never solve a cube before! HAHAHA! I'm just imagining this.

"Uhhh... well we got a few yellow stickers on this side. Well, there's one on the right middle."
"My right?"
"No, my right!"
"Jesus.. okay, what's on the other side of that yellow piece?"
"Piece? What are you talking about?"
"*loud exhale*. Oh my god. Okay, what sticker is perpendicular to the yellow sticker?"
"Which yellow sticker?"
"FUUUUUUUUUUU-"

Yeah. I think it may go something like that.

Normally the cuber is the caller. It's really not very difficult.

OP is easy with a non cuber. I sometimes do this with my youngest sons where I ask "What color is this and this" for the edge buffer and "This and this and this" for corners. Success rate is quite high with this method. Most DNF's are because they get bored.

I'm going to try this, but I don't know if I'll be able to get ten... I might only get nine.
If you are solving the cube in the water, does it have to be under the water, or do you just have to be in the water?

This sounds like a really fun idea, especially if lots of people do it. I have a question though; you say 'solve a cube', does it have to be a 3x3? And by extension, does it have to be the same cube each time? I don't think some people would want to gunk their prized zhanchis up with water, and I'd quite like to solve a different cube doing each of the 10 'events' just to spice things up.

Let's say you're allowed to use any cube 3x3 or greater in any of your adventures.

-Solving a cube underwater/in a body or pool of water Easy, just do it in my pool
-Solving a cube in front of a famous landmark Possible, I might be able to get to the green over red light on Tipp Hill (approx. 40 minute drive)
-Solving a cube on top of a very large rock Definitely, just do this near a local waterfall
-Solving a cube on a bridge Easy, close to the waterfall
-Solving a cube under a bridge Same as above
-Solving two cubes with a friend as a factory solve Probably not, since nobody I know knows how to fully solve a cube
-Solving a cube on boat and then reenacting this famous scene from Titanic No, just no
-Solving a cube while hanging upside down Maybe, depends on if I feel like it
-Solving a cube in a zoo or aquarium Depends if I can get to the local zoo
-Solving a cube in a stadium for a professional sport Does a practice stadium count (for the NY Jets)?
-Doing team BLD with someone who has never solved a cube before Possibly
-Solving a cube while simultaneously taking part in another one of your hobbies Cubing :p Kidding, I could probably do some penspinning or try to juggle while solving (or find something else)

This seems fun, but does the team bld have to be you calling for the non cuber or the noncuber telling you where all the pieces are because that seems so much easier.

I got some questions...

-Solving a cube on top of a very large rock - does "Møns Klint" count? (google it..)
-Solving a cube under a bridge - would help if I lived in a country that actually wasn't this flat
-Solving a cube in a stadium for a professional sport - Athletic stadium?

I think as long as you're standing on a large rocky surface, it counts as a large rock.

And any athletic stadium where a professional sport takes place at any time is fine.

But, but, but... I solved my cube at The Birds Nest (athletic stadium) and The Great Wall (landmark) last week, but didn't film any of it.
I'm usually never at stadiums or landmarks. Why didn't you post this earlier :( :P

Anyway, I think I'll try this for fun to see how many I can do.
