[WR] Zane Carney - 23/25 Multi-BLD

Thanks for the kind comments everyone. :)
What is your brain made of? Do you ever forget anything? What did you have for dinner last tuesday?
Haha, I have no idea what I had for dinner last Tuesday, my memory isn't unique. The skill is not having a good memory, it's knowing how to remember.
What techniques do you use to memorize so many solutions at once?
Letter-pair images. Each target has a single letter and 2 letters create 1 letter-pair image.
I imagine myself walking along a predetermined route, the route composes of multiple locations.
2 images are associated per location. Eg. At one location, I might have the letters CB+RI, so I would imagine a CaB filled with RIce.
How do you even remember like....25 stories -.-
Lots of review. :)

Dude, this was a phenomenal effort... but I tell you, there was a piece of extra drama here that you had to be in the room to see:

25 is a LOT of cubes. It COVERS the table. Now, look at the cube that was completed at 3:20. As more and more cubes kept being solved, this cube kept on getting closer and closer to the edge of the table. With 2-3 cubes left, I was worried that you were going to knock it (or one of the others) onto the floor!

But you didn't, so... SUPER AWESOMO!

Also, ~cube 20 when Dene covered up the pile of solved cubes? I don't know if you got it on tape, but he leaped up there like bloody Superman! Nice one!

Could someone confirm, if Zane were to have knocked a cube onto the floor, but it remained solved, does that score or DNF?

Thanks everyone. :)

Woah, thanks for pointing that out.

I should start placing my cubes in a more orderly fashion...

For Summer Open Do 30 Cubes. Then make with the first 16 Solved Cubes a 4x4 Square then take the next 9 and make a 3x3 quare on top then put a 2x2 square on that and at last put your last cube on Top.

It's 2min per Cube it's still something possible.

Awesome job again Zane, about the placing of cubes after each solve; I kind of enjoy the orderless style of placing the cubes as you go. But possibly if you forget an image/pair and try to come back to it later cubes placed more orderly would deffinatly help out

Probably the most sensible way to place your cubes after each execution is to arrange them exactly the same as before the solve, so it's just like you're moving the whole group of cubes across the table.

Also, congratulations. How many cubes do you think you'll try next time?

Haha, that'll take a load of practice I'm not yet prepared to do. Creative thinking though.

Thanks Chris. I've considered this potential issue, but I don't have this problem at home, so I ignore it.

That takes too long though. :p
Throwing cubes to the side is much faster.

Thanks, it's a long time away, so I don't know.

Yeh fair enough, seems to be working well so far haha. Gotta save time anywhere you can lol

It would be way cooler to do 27 cubes and to arrange them as one big solved cube (3 cubes per edge)! :D

Congratz Zane on beating the WR! It's astonishing, that with your crazy speed you could break it even with having 2 cubes unsolved! This is the first time, that the WR is not x/x!
