Easiest to learn method for 4x4 other than reduction?

I decided to focus a bit more on the 4x4. I have been focusing too much on the 3x3 for the last months.

The problem though, however, is that the reduction method is boring. I mean; I use it for all my cubes from 4 to 7 so they all are solved exactly the same way; centers, edges, 3x3 and done. That makes it very boring.

Therefore I'd like to learn another method, but I want it to be a fun method that does not require me to learn a lot of new algorithms - I hate learning algorithms, obviously. I heard about the K4 method and the cage method.

Which one of these is the easiest to learn, or are there any methods that are even easier to learn than those two?

Thanks!

Pretty much any other method requires commutator knowledge. However, if you can do this you can solve without having to learn any special algs for parity (or anything else).

Begin with k4 there are only a few parity algs and then start.with yau, this needs no algos, but i think it's faster than k4

parity comms are pretty hard to figure out though

nahhhhh. just teach inner slice move -> fix edges -> fix centres. long but requires no 'algs'

and then start.with yau

Yau doesn't belong in this thread.

that diagram is EPIC...ive just never looked at methods like that and it puts everything into perspective very well

That's like saying "F2L is boring and repetitive".
They are so many intuitive ways and skills to learn during the pair-up phase of the 4x4 that can be mastered that the amount of things to learn and practice on is endless.

Try to learn Yau-method if you think Redux is boring and lame.
Try to learn 3-edge pairing and learn lookahead and train to become faster.
It's FAR from boring.

You could always try doing reduction, but do your edges the way Robert Yau does his. It's very interesting. Try to ignore the annotations. I find it easier to understand what he's doing just by watching him.

There are so many great places to visit inside my apartment. The kitchen, the batbroom, the toilet, all can be really fun and entertaining, why should I ever go to other cities and other countries ?
