22? That's a strangely specific number. Any reason why 22? Can I hazard a guess and say that's the speed you were at when you moved on from a storebought?
Alternatively he could just buy a ZhanChi and be happy in the knowledge that his cube isn't holding him a back and he isn't going to need to replace it for a long time.

Actually, I moved on from a storebought at about 35. I choose 22 because 25 is to early and 20 is to late, so 22. Moving on to a good cube early was the worst desision of my life.

Seriously? Why?
I'm coming at it from the other angle, that if I hadn't moved onto a good cube within a week of starting I wouldn't be cubing now (due to medical reasons).
