Why times have dropped?

Guys, I'm a noob learning fingertricks and I was just wondering besides excessive practice what has made times go down? Do the fastest guys have more efficient fingertricks, better look a heads, or faster TPS?

Solve has almost no pauses, solve has less moves, TPS is very fast.

Really? I don't really think the top solvers are really optimising their movecount at all... They just getting lucky in some singles.

Are you saying that cubers are more "TPS GOGOGO!" than actually thinking? That is just sad.

Yes, it is sad (at least somewhat). And, yes, that is what I'm saying.
A lot of the top cubers, anyway. It looks a lot like they go for the speed optimised algs and tricks rather than the move-optimised ones (which does make some sense). Sure, they still try to make their solves relatively optimal (it's not like Faz's average movecount is 100 with 15 TPS or something that absurd), but still. To me, it seems like when you're at that point (which, btw, I am NOT), you focus on TPS more than efficiency.

PS: "TPS GOGOGO!" isn't necessary not "actual thinking," IMO, because people still like to fiddle and find new fingertricks.

I thought Faz optimizes his F2L? Looking at his walkthrough solves, he does small tricks here and there.

don't get how people can get 60 move solves for cfop.... i usually use >100..... is it because of the amount of sexy moves i do during f2l?

You turn faster than you can think maybe? Less thinking, more algorithms and wasted moves.

~7 move cross, ~7 moves for each f2l pair, ~10 moves for oll, ~10-15 for pll equals roughly 60 (obviously every case is going to be different)

please don't say that these approximations are wrong because I didn't look them up but am guessing that these are about average. I know that some crosses are 3 or less, and some pairs are easier than others.
