What cube moves the fastest?

My lingyun says otherwise, you may have overlubed.

I never overlube. I use the exact same amount on every cube. Even after wiping most of it out, it was still gummy and slow. And, this is based on many cubes, not just one. However, I noticed that it's even worse on the older, original Gu Hongs. How experienced are you? You may think it's good, but if you'd experienced lubix on cubes that it works well with, you'd see a major difference. So far, the best lubix experience I've had was with the MF8 legend.

Well, wiping the lube off never seems to get it all off for me, I should probably use water or something.
For dayan cubes, I rarely lube the pieces, I just go with the core. My old(black) guhong is getting way to gummy now since it has too much goo in it.
Experienced? My old guhong came assembled and lubed from izovire, it was awesome. I also got a godly guhong from him. I've also assembled and lubed 6~ cubes. Most of them were dayan.

Yeah, I'm not too sure how it would be without lubing the pieces. I always lube both the core and pieces. Over the past 2 years, I've gained 37 3x3's. I've experimented with lubix on about 25 of them. I'd say that it worked the best on the black Dayans, the Ghost Hand 2, the F2, MF8 legend, SOME Of the type A's, my pink type C1, C2, C3, and black F1. They were the ones that turned out AMAZING. The rest were either ok or not good.

Yeah, I know your collection, it's almost complete right? Putting lubix on the pieces often makes the cube to gummy for me, so i only do it if it still feels unlubed after i lube the core. This is for dayan cubes only though.

Yeah, I'm getting pretty happy with it. There are a couple type A's I don't think I'll ever find, and a few other cubes I don't really want. Mostly I have all the 3x3's I want. I got a free Sheng Shou 5x5 becuase lightake sent me white instead of black, so I complained and they sent out the black one. Now, I just need to figure out what to do with the white one. Trying to trade it for an old, original black Gu Hong. When they were good.

GeekyGeek, I am sure that all of the info here is confusing you, so I will make it simple. If you want a cube that is fast, reliable, unpopable and have little to no lock ups, then get the lubix zhanchi. TO those who say that their mf8 legends are faster, I have to disagree, the mf8 may be "smoother" but it locks up like crazy and is in no way better than the zhanchi. To those who say the Guhong is better, you have to be kidding me. The zhanchi has better corner cutting, better speed, is unpopable and doesn't get gummy. On a simple mono y mono comparison is looses in almost every category except possibly controllability. And controllability inevitably depends on the user.

With all of this beign said, GeekyGeek, you really should try these cubes yourself and also learn more and practice. Your cube will mean nothing if you don't know how to use it.

Oh and to answer your question:
1. Which one moves the fastest? Lingyun
2. Which one has the least lock ups? I would say a tie between the Lingyun and the Guhong, niether actually lock up at all, nor does the Zhanchi, but the zhanchi does ever so slightly more
3. Which is the most "clicky"? Hard to say either the Lunhui or the Lingyun
4. Which one is the most "creamy"? Zhanchi, if you mean smooth then the Guhong

I agree, mf8 is very fast but locks like a mother. I agree with 1-4 too. ZhanChi is definately creamy.

@jskyler91: The mf8 Legend is easily the fastest cube on the market. That doesn't mean it's "better" or that you will get fast times, but it does mean that you can do a U4 with a single flick, which you cannot do with a GuHong. Speed, smoothness, and lockiness are all separate metrics.

I can do a u4 with my zhanchi, which we were discussing.

I find that difficult to believe...that ZhanChi isn't that out of control. But perhaps you have super strength. Point is, mf8 requires less force to do such things. Not that anyone needs to do a U4...just trying to make comparisons more objective, if that's even possible.

Sorry if this is double posting.
Before I even try a Lubix Cube, I contacted Ben and asked if I can have a sample. I will tell you what he replies back.

If after all the recommendations given, you cannot get off the $20 for an Ultimate, you are probably better off with a Rubik's brand.[/QUOT

Sorry I didn't type that write, I was asking for a Lubix LUBE sample not a cube.
