Lol. Are you getting your Zhanchi's tomorrow? It is possible that I will receive mine by next week. I still don't know why you claim to have privilege service over other stores (even the ones in China). When a new cube is being released, the company will send all or most orders at the same time... that's how business works.

Now I am eager to see who will get the Zhanchi's first But it doesn't really matter... anyway, best of luck to iCubemart and other stores.

Lol, yes. Unless iCubemart gets them in the next 2-3 days, they will not be a week sooner than us.

I also agree that you really don't have preference over other companies, just because you happen to be chummy with some sales reps, doesn't mean that they like you better. I personally talk to sales reps quite a bit, and have made some friends, and they claim that I will get my cubes first, yet I don't try to use it as an advertising stunt, because like Izovire says, it's just business.

Annoying, isn't it. They've been sitting on this cube for ages, it could have come out in february. I remember when those first ZhanChi prototypes went on WitEden, I debated getting one, I thought $22 was a bit much for one cube, but by the time I decided to go for it only green ones were left, and I thought 'who want's a green cube?' Two hours later when I realised that I did want one, they were gone. Sad, but true.

The green ones where up for grabs quite a bit longer though. Probably a day or something. I actually wanted to get a green one initially because those were the ones that where in the first vid. Black was out when I got there, so I got a white one instead of green. Figured white would be easier on recognition than green. I got to try a black one at NEMO 2011 though. Felt more or less the same as mine but better broken in.

Too bad man, but hey, I missed the prototype LunHui sale by like a day or something.

It's true that Witeden has the closest relationship to the inventor and the factory (because they're located in the same city). This is why Witeden will have dayan products first, followed by other stores in china, hong kong, then the rest of the world. It takes as long as the shipping takes to arrive at a store.

On topic now:

if I paid closer attention to the listings and emails I would have gotten each prototype as well. Now I'm all hyped up for this Zhanchi and there's nothing I can do but wait . I do like Dayan boxes much more than others, some of the cut-out design inspired my designs on the izo lube box.

I always open the boxes from the back side.

If it looked pretty much the same, and you had a box of puzzles waiting to be picked up... why not make orders available? You can then work through a backlog of sales to ship. Kind of pre-ordering...

Especially since everyone is trying to be "I'm FIRST!!11111 lulz"

Wait, do the zhanchi have torpedoes on it? That's what it looks like in the picture. Sorry if this is a really stupid question, I haven't really been keeping up with the zhanchi news lately, but I was under the impression that it didn't have those anchor things on it. Not that I'm complaining, the anchors would actually be nice, I just didn't think they had them.

The latest pictures of the ZhanChi have the anchors. The 2nd version prototype has them as well, so I doubt they would take it out.

I went to a chinese cube meetup yesterday and got to try out the (yes jeffrey) Final version of zhanchi. There was this girl who knew daqing bao as a friend and was able to get it free. It was too tight for me but it was still amazing. Yes there were disgusting torpedos but its still good. It was so tight that you could turn around one of the edges while it's in the cube. I will definetly be getting this cube.

The Dayan manufacturer manufactured white ZhanChi's first. Then after 3 days, they started producing the black ones. DaYan sent the white ones to iCubeMart's shipping agent in China immediately after they were done. But we requested them to hold the white cubes and not ship them off until the black ones are done so they could come in the same package. If we didn't wait these 3 days, we would've received the white Dayan ZhanChi's earlier 3 days (which is all WitEden is selling, white ones, because they didn't wait for the black ones).

I actually got this in an email from Calvin at HK now, so it seems he will have the first Zhan Chis:

For Dayan Zhan Chi, the factory is working on my orders as the 1st production run, 2,000 pcs. The zhanchi will be arrived me on Monday, I shall post your orders on Tuesday if no delay.

Yeah and jeffery gets his Tuesday and will ship them wednesday but his shipping wont take as long as calvins
