I've googled for the answer and boo.
I want to learn how to be colour neutral for cross building and then recognising F2L pairs quickly.
OLL and PLL isn't a problem and shouldn't be.
Any help? badmephisto is who I learnt Fridrich from, but unfortunately he doesn't do colour neutral vids :(

I don't think I'll become colour neutral now, I need to work on more important things like F2L first.
I do the white cross, but can easily solve the opposite yellow and easily do F2L.
Thanks for the help, it's not time to become colour neutral yet :)

Wrong. The sooner you become CN the better. Now is the time. You can improve F2L the same amount whether you're white cross or CN. It doesn't get harder to break the same barriers. Learning CN is muchharder th more you do just white cross.

Learn cn on 2x2 as well, that way you don't get stuck with opp cn. For me I just practice a whole lot of blue for like a month instead of white and then opp cn with green. Then I slowly just integrated the 2... red and orange still give me trouble, even though I have practiced. Hopefully it comes along soon. I found that learning cn helps with lookahead because you have to make a conscious effort to think about your corners and edges to get fast times at first...

And again... stop making threads... read everything first... there's so many threads on cn....

Searching is a great idea. I'm pretty sure that the thread I linked I added tags like how to and CN and help. Searching How to become CN would have made my thread pop up.

When you first started f2l, it was hard to recognize the cases and see what matches up.
When you try color neutral, its just like going back to square one (no pun intended).
Its no harder or more difficult. Its just the same learning process over again.

Well, wasn't the puzzle intentionally a pun anyway? Maybe I'm just ignorant.

On topic: Try your best to be color neutral starting now. I thought it would be an easy change-over later on in the game, but it's not. I attempted CN when I was around 16-17 seconds, and it's appallingly difficult to change something you've been doing for so long. I'm still working on it, but I know it would have been easier if I started earlier. When I was using the beginner's method, I was CN and it was awesome, but I have serious issues recognizing colors now just because I've adjusted my mind to black-out yellow during F2L. GOGO CN NOW!!
