Collection of letter pair lists

Option #1

Are you talking about the inline comment I placed under the header for X? It does not look nice when printing the page, I understand that... will remove it. done!

Option #2

Are you talking about bad words in the list? I wrote a comment on top of the page asking for imageable words. Some pairs are really hard to find a good object for, it got to be a few odd ones I'm afraid.

When the list is getting more words one can clean it up a bit, removing the worst examples...

BTW, found it is a nice idea to put referal links to diffrent pages (usally Wikipedia I guess) for the words, see QX and VV for my examples.

The words that are currently on the page all seem to be good. My comment was a general one. Chris mentioned adding his letter pair sounds as well as his images, and I think we should have a separate page for those.

Ah, yes, but you can have images and just put a link to it's page, it does not have to show at the page. Mabye copy the whole page and make one separate for one syllables...

It is slow to save the page when you made a change to it as it is (it is huge and the compiler is slow), I'm thinking of breaking it up into templates, one for each single letter and mabye, if someone is willing to do the work? Create a standard line to use for the words, like the alg template where you have room for wikipedia and image links, mabye a tiny thumbnail of the image in the place where the SS logo is in the algs template (or it shows there instead of the logo if there is an image specified for the word).

Im asking because I don't have the skills needed to create anything that advanced (I can copy the algs template ([wiki]Template:alg[/wiki]), but it is so messy I don't understand half of it).

emacs to the rescue! I'll do it if it's not done the next time I'm free.

All of my memorization methods are available on my website here. Don't add them in manually yourself though :( Between my images list and my single syllable words list that's around 1,000 entries to make. It'd be much easier to write a script to do it for someone who knows how. I just don't know how to do that :(

I wrote the script then found out that someone has already added all of your images to the wiki list. But it might be just me that missed this information. These three topics about letter pairs running parallel kind of puzzle me.

Hey, can someone explain to me what KJ: Kirjava is? My google searches are fruitless :/

Also, as a side note. I am _trying_ to find a way to take a word as an argument and have a program find the matching image based on google etc. The problem is that it is not a simple thing like googleimagesimfeelinglucky/word. Anyone know a way to do that/has code that does it?

The user here. Kirjava. That's his username.

Mmm, but it is a Finnish word, it means 'multi coloured' and is used both for objects with many colours but also about persons with many diffrent sides of personallity.

ahh ok. And any idea with the second part of the message?

Another option is to use Wikipedia, it is easy because all articles have the same URL besides the name (header) of the article.

Example SH : Shoehorn http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shoehorn

Just change 'shoehorn' to what ever you like.

I was not goin to make a thread about this becauser its stupid but offtopic, there are 2 OLLs on the wiki with the same image. It was mind fking me when I went to get algs for this one OLL. I was like wtf..why cant i find my case haha

OLL 11 and 12

http://www.speedsolving.com/wiki/index.php/OLL#Small_lightning_bolt_shapes

Lid is currently working on the OLL page adding information about optimal moves and stuff, I tell him when he wakes up and he will fix it (He always logs on to the Swedish chatroom as the first thing he do)

Edit : It is fixed, was as simple as changing one 'o11.gif' (that was twice) to 'o12.gif'

To what I was saying earlier- It would be great if I could make it automated, however, its hard to make a computer pick the best image xD. So i use the following code:
