Please put a question mark behind your title next time.

Rw2 x' U2 x Rw' U2 r' U2 x' U2 r' U2 r U2 r' U2 Rw2 R' U2 R2 Syuhei parity. From esquimalt1's video.

I learned how to solve a 4x4x4 yesterday. I was wondering, is there a shorter alg for up face parity than:

Rr2 B2 U2 Li U2 Rr' U2 Rr U2 F2 Rr F2 Li' B2 Rr2

? I've already learnt it now, but a shorter alg suggestion would be appreciated.

Regards,

H

Why do you think the alg you learnt is 15 moves?

There are no shorter alternatives =)
--------
My DP alg : r U2 r' E2 (F2 l F2 l' F2 r F2 r') D2 l

the parentesis is a 3-cycle blocks using a com.

Thanks :)
I've found shorter versions of algs that I had previously learnt before, so that's why I asked. Sorry for the dim-witted question ;)
Maybe you know of a different alg that is a few steps longer that might be easier to remember? Not that this one is mega hard to remember or anything, I just like to keep things simple where I can.

I am not sure what type of algorithm is easier for you to remember, but here is an algorithm 4 btm longer than the optimal path (which is 14 btm) that:
1) Uses all U2 face turns
2) Has two full commutators inside (with all moves canceled)
r2 U2 r' l U2 r' U2 r U2 l' U2 r U2 r U2 r' U2 r = r2 U2 r' [l U2 r', U2] r [U2, r] U2 r (18 btm)

(The extra quarter turn is merged with a conjugate quarter turn move in the r2 move.)
