Hi guys,
ive been cubing using the beginners method and i can get around 1:05 each solve. i want to get faster but dont know anywhere to get a tutorial. can you guys tell me where i should go for a faster method?

Fridrich would probably suit you. Roux, petrus, zz, and all that other stuff are more advanced, that you should learn later.

more advanced?
pfft. sure block building will take a while to get used to but it isn't that "advanced". Same with Fridrich F2L. Blocks are just another technique that you can compare to F2L. You have F2L strategies that are "advanced" Blocks are different strategies that are just as "advanced."

I think Beginner Roux is easier and faster than most "intermediate" methods (like intuitive F2L and 3LLL I would consider intermediate). Kirjava's done sub-15 avg using only 2 algs. I've gotten sub-16 using only 9 algs. It's not advanced, it's just a different approach.

I would go with learning either Petrus, Fridrich, or Roux. Those are all very fast methods!

Well, Fridrich is a very fast method...

I'm assuming that he wouldn't learn Algorithmic optimal F2L yet, or full OLL and full PLL. Thus... Roux is faster.

Ok, first he has to decide what last layer method to use, I recommend oll and pll (2 or 3 look). Then he has to decide what 1st and 2nd layer method (I tryed to word that so that I'm not saying f2l) he wants to use (I would recommend f2l or blockbuilding). And then he has his method right there.

Notice I wasn't being biased to fridrich.^^
