i am well aware of the shapeways one but like i said i dont have that kind of money to buy that after the ring i got her if anyone has one of these or and i know there are those of you out there if you can mod and or build one that needs to be fully solved before opening i will give you all of these cubes and some money if needed please i know someone out there can come through for me

Dude, your budget for a proposal is $20? At least have the determination to save some more money and plan a really good one, it's once a lifetime. And it costs so much more to hold a wedding.

Maybe you could write to Oskar and tell him about your plans to propose. He might allow you to borrow one or sell you one he has lying around for a discount if he trusts you enough.

No, his budget for the wrapping of the ring is 20$. You don't know if he hired Cirque du Soleil to make a full double rainbow with only their saliva, or if he won 10 000$ and the ring costed 9 980$.

I'll never wrap anything in for 250$, and I wouldn't encourage my friends to do it either.

Not exactly what you are looking for, but:
Put the ring in some type of small box that can be secured with a combination lock
Use sudoku stickers to somehow "encode" the combination on the cube. (Or maybe write the numbers on with markers so the color scheme isn't affected) - Something like this
When the cube is solved, she can use the combination to open the box.

He already said that he spent a lot on the ring itself, and you obviously understand that holding a wedding is expensive, so you'll have to excuse him for not wanting to spend 250 bucks on the ring box. Don't you think he might have enough expenses?

thank you to all of you who realized that im not cheap the ring that I bought her was around $600 i just dont feel like spending another 250 on a cube im simply just going to put the ring in for all of maybe 1 min while she solves it. if anyone out there can create one for me for a reasonable price (less then 50) let me know please i am still looking for it

Think of it this way, it will be a lifelong memory that you can show your kids and grandkids. If that's not worth the price, then either find a way to build your own, or get a special, non- cube related proposal.

a very easy thing to do is to build the QJ/Meffert's 4x4 without the core, and ask her to solve it...it will then explode and there you have the ring box.

perhaps this is a little too cheap, but I dunno what else you could do with 20 bucks.
