Haha I could make a review for you if you still need someone to do it. You've already said that you're putting them on hold. However if you need someone to do a review for you at any point feel free to ask.

Yea, I have quite a few out there already, and am waiting for reviews to come back in.

Speaking of which, to all you who PM'd me and I replied to, your samples have been sent out. Expect 3 days or so in the States, and about 5-10 days internationally.

International people I'll PM tracking info to. I have to start clearing out messages... ran out of space.

awesome cuberkid. =]

There is a review up now, want to just keep them going there for threads sake?

Lubix Reviews

Lubix has been shipping for weeks, and I have plenty in stock:

Here's what the items look like. I also added a vinyl logo sticker with the orders. Hope you enjoy!

I think you should have sent a sample to Rowe Hessler and Jai Gambhir.
Both guys would probably overlube just to test the aftereffects.

For myself (I use BM's lube method, but slightly modified), I would use it the same way I would the Rubik's lube...

If you need another tester, I'm pretty objective - I've only ever used Jig-A-Loo, CRC (20wt silicone), Rubik's Lube and Vaseline (yes, my first storebought use petro. jelly. BAD IDEA).

Just sayin', if this stuff really works (you really only gave qualitative explanations, with some random quantitative numbers everywhere), then I'm probably interested in buying a few for my cubes. Always looking for decent lube.

Although I have to admit it sounds pretty sketchy.

How did you come about finding "pure Silicone"?

Do you work in West Coast, USA or something?

I'd give it a go. We really need to do a Colorado cubing meetup soon. I'm living in Golden atm, and there are quite a few of us in the Denver area. Where do you live in Lakewood? PM me.

There's a new speed cube lube called LUBIX, and wanted you guys to know about it.

Thanks,

It might be a great product but as WCA official , I do not appreciate the remark on ebay
LUBIX is allowed for use in all World Cube Association (WCA) sanctioned competitions.

The WCA does not allow of disallow any lube, all competitors may use any lube. This remark suggest you have some kind of approval of the WCA, I strongly suggest you remove this remark and replace it by:LUBIX improve your cube performance and can be used in competitions.
The WCA name or these kind of references to the WCA should not be used in any commercial activity, please note I do not criticize the product or your initiative to offer lube to the community. I do mind they way you advertise it using words as approval , official

Can you compare it to a 10, 20 or 30 wt Shock Oil? I once got 80 wt shock oil and it was waay too gummy for my tastes (thought I probably overlubed cause I was a noob at that point), it seems like Lubix would be thick like an 80 wt.

Also, could you prove to us that this stuff is non-toxic/safe. It will definitely get all over our hands and then all over the place. Could you provide the MSDS sheet?

I'd say it's more around a 50wt. But that's just me. I use 25wt shock oil. But this is definitely thicker. It's about as thick as my 50wt. But I agree that an MSDS should be provided.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention, and giving me a moment to edit my listing. I have changed the listing to reflect your request, and will not tag the lube with your name. All apologies.

It's much thicker than 80wt shock oil. Used correctly, this is advantageous. I'll explain the reasoning behind this soon, and show how a thicker lube has benefits over a thinner lube.

Sorry for not taking time to answer all your questions now, but I DJ on the weekends, and need to get setup for a 5 hour marathon set.

Also, I am in the process of rebuilding my website, and hopefully by Monday I will have all of that information readily available on my site. MSDS and all.

Just need a moment to organize it all. Thanks.

Thanks

One of the effects of using thicker silicone oil in most cases is beneficial for cubers with a slow turning style; go for smooth turning style.
Other effects when using thicker silicone is; it will fill up tiny caps when a cube is wear down, making the cube keep turning smooth even with some wear

As I do not know this lube and its specifications but this might be the effect.
I lube the cube the first time with the Rubik's wax, after this breaking in , I use silicone oil.
