How exactly are these performed? I've been trying to work on my LL algorithm execution times, and I've improved my R's and U's a lot, and my L's are getting better, but I can't seem to find anything that works for F or M.

For F (and even worse, F'), I've been having to reposition my whole grip on the cube to make it work. For M (for the H-perm, mostly), I've just been doing r2 R2'. What's the 'right way' to do these?

Also, unrelated to the topic - when performing OLL and PLL, are U turns better than cube spins when trying to face the LL from the right angle?

Thanks. :)

for the Fn I just move my right hand and flick the F face clockwise
for F' I only move left hand and flick cc
for M, I don't see any other way to move it unless r' R
andother way is to just use rught finger to flick it
for M2, u just use ring, then followed up with middle

I think rotationg and moving U face is equally fast

F: place index finger on the URF sticker and push down
F': place thumb on the DFR sticker and push up
M2: (thumb on FDR, index finger on BDR)-R' (place middle finger on UB)-r (use middle finger to do)-M'

Ah, thanks guys.

Apparently I'd been doing F right - so I suppose that just needs more work. For some reason, though, F' using the right thumb never occurred to me.

As for M2 - that's exactly what I was looking for. I remembered reading something about flicking it from the back, but whenever I tried that, either my L or R layer spun just as far in the opposite direction. I was just holding it wrong, it's working for me now. Thanks a ton. :)

While I have this topic going - are D or B triggers possible without regripping? If so, how?

For the M triggers, I recommend watching this video by former World Champion Dan Knights performing his crazy H perm. I personally find the U2 trigger a lot harder than the M2 :) .

As for F, I think it depends on the algorithm. Sometimes a cube rotation is better (I do for the end of the Y permutation), or else using thumbs or whatever works. Just as long as it flows well with the algorithm and you can perform it fast that is all that is needed.
I recommend avoiding B as much as possible, and just do a cube rotation in such a case. The same for D. However, as above, just find a way to get it to flow nicely with the algorithm so that you can perform it fast and it shouldn't be a problem. I use both D and D' for one of the A permutations, and perform using my ring fingers (left ring for D, right ring for D').

i do almost the exact same thing except for my M and M', for both i use my right ring finger.

For F, I seem to find it nice to just turn either my hand or the cube (depends on the situation) and trigger it like a U turn.

When I do the LL, I usually just rotate the whole cube. My algs involve so much of shifting the weight of my fingers around that turning the cube actually allows me to flow into the alg better. It also prevents misalignment of the U slice during OLL, which is good because many of my algs involve L and R based turns.
