[WR] Feliks Zemdegs 9.21 3x3x3 average

Ha, so I wasn't the only one thinking of that. Their success stories are so similar, breaking the most prestigious record in their sport by a large margin with ease, breaking the next larger version (4x4 vs 200m) as well... it's like in the future (imagine Terminator theme here), there's a war between runners and cubers and when we got close, the runners sent Usain back in time to save them, but then the cubers sent Feliks...

That's awesome! =D

What is it about these solves that makes them so baller? The turning rate doesn't really seem astounding... I mean, compared to let's say, Rowe Hessler. But it really does seem that there is absolutely no delay in between any of the steps. Is that why it's so fast? Rowe probably has a faster TPS peak, but I think there's definitely more delay in between his steps.

Color neutral wins.

He has almost no LL recognition time. I think that sets him apart right now. his OLL and PLL almost seem to be one long alg. Tim, Rowe, Kyle and I were most impressed by that when we sat around and watched his first round video.

There's a first round video?
I agree with the super fast recognition. If people like Feliks can have that fast recognition it totally kills the purpose of ZBLL and it's supposedly great potential

Um, what? Since when is ZBLL supposed to be fast because of recognition?

Isn't it the whole purpose of ZBLL to have a 1 look LL? Feliks's WR solves almost look like he has 1 look LL due to his fast recognition.

He has an enormous edge.
I want to see him do an average on a fixed colour. (green colour)
Me, too. Good suggestion. Average of 100 after practice would be interesting. And repeat for the other colors... who knows, maybe it differs and he just never tried to find out...

To be honest, it's comments like these that make me feel like no one understands what it is like to be colour neutral.

When you are colour neutral, you don't even see the colours. Like seriously, a bit of practise on a cube with a 6 random colours (purple, gold, silver, black, pink, grey, or something like that), and it wouldn't make a difference to a colour neutral person. The colours just act as a guide to the patterns, or something like that. Don't ask me to explain it any clearer than that because I have tried and failed many times to think of a better way. Any difference in performance on a particular colour would be insignificant, and would only come to significance with larger N.

I doubt that Dene, I don't think you could slam a cube with random stickers in a random order.. and expect Faz/Rowe to be sub-10. (or you, dene, to get your usual times!)

anyway, his last solve.
(Scramble with U/F as yellow/red, then put as blue/yellow to solve)
