what did YOU do when approaching sub 30?

i used the beginner's method... i had a pb of 24 seconds, now i dont really cube much but i have had 3 12 second solves, and lowest average is 18 seconds... now i average mid 20s, as i have forgotten some algorithms... lol

i learned full pll the second I touched 29 averages. Little early, but learning it rocketed me to 24-26 (occasional 23) averages at 2-3 algs learned a day. It's nice to get it all out of the way.

oh yeah... if you do what I did, and eventually learn full OLL right after, your averages will quickly fall to 20-ish. Most people at this point finish up OLL/PLL algs, but since I had them all done, I had to work on my F2L to finally get to sub 20

i used intuitive f2l, 2 look oll, and full pll(still use it), but to get sub 30, i just figured out i could turn faster

The cross was solved after scramble and you also got a PLL skip? Or just a mistake? anyway I like your F2L times... I suppose you look ahead right? How fast can you go with a metronome? (bpm)

Oh and by the way, 2 look OLL?

I accidently pressed the space bar twice in thew beginning, no cross skip. I did get a PLL skip though. Yes, 2-loo oll. I don't use .metronome.

Sub-30 was quite a while ago for me, which tells me that I haven't really made any progress in the past little while. Upsetting.
I don't even distinctly remember approaching or getting sub-30 times. I know that optimizing F2L and learning a couple more PLLs really helped though.

Learn full PLL and the corner OLLs
For olls & plls, just learns one a day, some are really similar, took me about 3 weeks to memorize them all

I got sub 30 averages with 2 Look PLL and 3 Look OLL. All you need is to practice F2L. If I were you I would do it all intuitively. That makes it easy for getting sub 30 because you don't have to recall an algorithm for every case.

I was sub 25 (I stopped practicing for a while) with 2 look Oll and 2 look pll without e perm. All u need to do is f2l practice scramble and solve only f2l alot then do full solves

well, i think that doing the full solves will help, you gain faster recognition times and also practice cross and F2L

Yes. I'm pretty sure it involves getting a cross, and then solving the corners using only sune/antisune
