what did YOU do when approaching sub 30?

I've been at 25-30 for a while now and know full oll and plll. I think whats messing me up is tps (i need a new cube) and f2l. Whats really messin me up is how i grip and execute. also deciding which f2l pair to complete first somewhat slows my recognition. i have a bad habit of doing cube rotations during the f2l stage to decide the first pair and forgetting to look ahead during pairing of my 3rd and fourth insertions. I've been practicing slow solving for a few months and it helps tremendously. My cross can be improves as well. I know what i need to do to get sub 25 though. Ive gotten tips and getting there should be fun i just need to stay focused and persistent.

well, now it's time to learn those G perms :( i'm practicing looking ahead more than i have before, so i'll see how long it takes for improvement to happen. also, slightly off-topic, i got a sub 30! but the crappiest thing happened. i slammed the spacebar and the timer switched windows!!!! when i opened the timer, it was still running.

When I got to the sub-30 mark I basically just kept the same method until I got to where I was at now (about 25 seconds average).

Not particularly great advice lol. Im going to do some alg memorizing like crazy and learn some of the tricks for F2L in preparation for Nationals (which hopefully I'll get to go to.)

please refrain from putting ur hands on the table.... sit straight (watch felik's 1:16 5x5 official vid)
LL doesnt really matter F2L is the key
seriously. i dont know half of the OLLs and i average 16 (full PLL though)
and faster TPS

i was learning 2-look OLL and like 10 PLLs when i got like average of 5 sub-30 but i wasn't really interested in speedcubing then, only blindsolving, now when i found out about ZB i thought to myself, hey, wouldn't it be cool to learn this? it has 800 algs! so now i am learning CLL for the VH method and hopefully i can master the ZB method without learning full fridrich
