hey all, i've used this little idea before, and it's not something i've seen anyone else talk about, so i apologize if i haven't been thorough.

anyway, so this only works if you use the microwave alot, and even then it's a bit limited, but nonetheless i find it a fun thing to do. so, all you do is cube while your food is cooking in the mic, and try to perform as many solves/ algs/ etc while your food is cooking.

For instance, while i was leaning my F2L algs, I'd start from a solved cube state and try to perform the alg correctly until i had a solved state again before the microwave beeped. depending on what you're cooking, you can either do solves, perms (A-perms, etc) or whatev.

Please tell me if this is original and/ or good.

It's good, but it'd depend on what you're cooking I guess.

I'm fond of the hold your breath technique. Don't inhale all the way and focus on certain parts (cross, F2L, OLL, PLL) that way. Once you feel comfortable, inhale even less.

=P i do that too!
but i dont microwave that often ~ teehee.
my practice method is:

10 - 7x7 solves (without pops)
10 - 4x4 solves (with at least 5 sub 1's)
10 - 5x5 solves (at least all sub 1:40)
10 - 3x3 solves (any time)
03 - 3x3 attempts (blindfolded)

this usually takes like 2 hours a day

My eyes!

I do something similar. I ride the bus every day to college and back. I try and finish a solve before I get to a certain stop.

I OH cube while eating breakfast (cereal) every day, and also to microwaves.
You OH microwaves? Strong wrists.

Anyhoo, I just solve over and over and over and over and over and over. I do massive averages and try to get the average down. 0.01 seconds at a time.

Nonononono, the also is pertaining to what he eats while he OH cube. The sentance should be read as: "I OH cube while eating breakfast and microwaves which takes place everyday." I think.

Lol eating microwaves... So funny how you're purposefully misinterpreting the messages.

I used to cube on the bus, and would try to solve it once per stop, but then one time, I was solving it right before my stop and got too absorbed in it. Then I left my thousand dollar trumpet under my seat! I got it back in the end, (after lots of trouble) but I don't cube on buses anymore.

Also, people always watch me weirdly when I cube on the bus, and my cube used to pop all the time, and bus floors are dirty.
