Hey everyone kinda took a break for like 8 months but now I'm cubing again. Just got my V-Cube 7 in the mail today and I'm wondering what a good time goal is for each step. It usually takes me about 7 minutes for the centers and 5-6 minutes for the edges and like 1-2 for the 3x3(I average 24 its a brand new cube). My goal is about 7-8 minutes.

What do you think are good goals for different solve times(4-5 minutes, 6-9, 10-14, etc.) for the different steps?

Why make another thread? In case you didn't notice, 38 other people looked at your other thread (At the time of my posting this.) and the other topic i on the front page still.

As for your question:

To get under 10 minutes consistently, 4-4.5 minutes for centers, 2-2.5 minutes for edges, 1-1.5 for 3x3.
I average this, so I can't help you with other goals.

Really? Cause I searched "V-Cube goals" and got no posts (which I kinda found odd BTW). If I saw another thread I would've done that instead. Really. I'm not like that.

:fp Not what I said. You made TWO threads.

i would recommend looking at hi-games
there you can see some of the best people solving and see their break-downs. Obviously it's a strange sample because usually they will be lucky solves. But you can get some idea of the ratios between centers, edges and such. i learn a lot just from watching good people solve big cubes.
note, i haven't solved many big cubes on hi-games, i mostly watch
