Hey, I've decided to create a thread where we can share our cubing-related New Year's resolutions. I thought this might be good because we can get inspiration from each other's goals.

I'll go first:
1. Reach sub-17 on 3x3
2. Learn full PLL (I'm almost done)
3. Figure out cross during inspection (3x3)
4. Reach sub-1:30 on 4x4
5. Sub-4 2x2 (this may require me learning CLL)
6. Sub-7 on pyraminx
7. Get better at an event or two that I don't practice regularly

And last but not least, I want to practice more consistently and deliberately, rather than only spamming solves. I am going to try not to take a "break" of cubing this year (I took many of those last year and I feel like I've been progressing kinda slow because of it)

Happy (almost) New Year!

1: Sub-2 official 2x2 average

2: Keep PR streak alive

3: Get an official averages in 6x6, 7x7, FMC, square-1, and megaminx

4: Get a 3x3 PR average (Haven’t gotten a PR since April)

5: Make 2x2 NAC semi-finals (I choked out of semi-finals in US nationals 2023)

6: Qualify for clock for NAC

7: Beat my 2x2 PB single (Has been 0.48 for 7 months)

1. (3×3): More sub 10 single, sub 13 PB avg, try to full PLL.

2. (FMC): Know how to do this.

3. (Clock): Learn 7-simul and try to break my PBs.

4. (Pyra): Consistently sub 5 on stackmat, maybe start to learn some more intuitive methods instead of beginner method.

5. Go to my first comp in these two years.
(I'll go if I think I'm fast enough, goal: top 20 best first single/avg in clock)

And pls, really use the stackmat as much as you can while practice instead of keyboard and cellphone.
(My pick up are sucks, and cube often hit the stackmat while I put it down.)

Happy New Year 🎉

  • Get the custom cube mod business off the ground
  • Get SRs in 4x4 and maybe 6x6
  • Become sub-10 on 3x3
  • Become sub-35 on 4x4
  • Learn Squan and become sub-3 minutes (is that good?)
  • Re-Learn Mega and get good at it
Nice! Good luck with your business, it seems like it's doing really good so far
