Beginner! i need help on what i should do next

and i do this algorithm when i have all sides (of the last layer) with one wrong edge except for one side, which is complete?

The back face is solved. I like this one as opposed to M2 U(') M' U2 M U(') M2 because if you see a solved side, you put it to the back and then you can recognize which cycle it is.

ok, after i did that algorithm with the completed side as the back, i got my cube into a state where all of the edges on the last layer were not complete.

Remember, there are two ways of doing the algorithm, with the brackets and without. Try doing the same algorithm again.

ok, i did the algorithm two more times. the first time, i got a completed side and then the second time it went back to where i only had the top and bottom face completed 0.o

WHAT AM I DOING WRONNNGGGG???!!!!!

How many stickers (not pieces) are the wrong colour? This algorithm only works if only 3 of the stickers are not the right colour.

ohhh, well after i did it the first time, (after having none other that top and bottom) i got a side completed, which means i have 3 incorrect stickers. after that, it reverted back to when i had no completed side

Ok, when you had the 3 incorrect stickers, where were they? FU RU LU or FD RD LD?

This is what they do:

ok with M2 U M' U2 M U M2. Hold the cube so that the only solved edge on the last layer is facing you.

then M2, you move the middle 180 degrees
U, move the top 90 degrees clockwise
M', move the middle 90 degrees up
U2, move the top 180 degrees
M, move the middle 90 degrees down
U, move the top 90 degrees clockwise
M2, you move the middle 180 degree

This is should move the pieces UL to UR. UR to UB. and UB to UL. hooray for noob notation :D

I'm getting frustrated reading all this helplessness.

1: Learn what you want, when you want, it can't hurt. The main problem is running out of things to learn, so as long as you know what you CAN learn, you're all good.

2: That U Perm? When you do it the first time and there is a competed face, rotate the cube so that completed face is at the BACK. Then do the algorithm. If the cube is still unsolved, then keep the solved face at the back, and do it again.

I hope this helps, but next time try watching a lot of youtube. It helped me get out of noob-hood very quickly without bothering anyone.

i could use the search, but its easier just to post. how do you complete the cube with roux? like, for fridrich its cross, f2l OLL PLL, i think.
Wrong answer. Just because it's easier doesn't mean you can do it. It bothers a lot of people around here for some reason. And don't worry about roux yet, I still have trouble understanding it.
