Just Scramble Question

Hi, didn't now where to put this Thread so I'm putting it here o)

I'm just wondering, I usually just scramble my cube randomly and I use my stackmat to time my self. But If I had a PB or PB average would it count? or Do you have to use proper scrambles , e.g. cubetimer.com ?

No if the number of moves you used to scramble is insufficient. Otherwise, yes.

For me, I always use official times because when I scramble my 3x3 over and over again, I found myself doing the same 6-7 move over and over again. And, if you scramble yourself, you're most likely to do better because you might not have much of a variation of moves in your scramble.

But if you're handscrambling, the best is probably to do some random moves (as far as you can call them random), throw the cube into the air and catch it, and do more random moves. Repeat this about 5 times and it'll probably be random.
