help me out im trying to drop my times and i would like to use the Fridrich F2L method. I can do it in about a minute ten or so. I was wondering if you users memorize algorithms or do it intuitively like i do with no algorithms.

some people memorize? wow :D
absolutely do it intuitively. You can memorize special short non-intuitive solutions for some cases that take you too long to do intuitively

is this method the cross, first layer, 2nd layer, cross and so on? sorry i dont know what the method names are. but if its the one im thinking of, then just have patience and you'll be sure to remember it. the first time i did it, i wrote out the steps needed to complete the cube, and then i slowly moved away from it.

wow ive never been to google before! thanks for the link :) will try to learn this new method, as ive only been doing the normal Fridrich method and a varation of the lar petrus method :)

My answer to fourdown00: I was averaging a bit more than 1 minute when I began to memorise the f2l algorithms. It helped me to go below the minute. Other people do the F2L intuitively and manage some really good time so it may not be necessary. Did you see the video of Erik ? He is explaining a lot of things about Fridrich F2L...

When I started to learn the fridrich method, I tried intuitive F2l and it worked for me better than memorizing F2l algs. I'm memorizing the PLL first since some people told me it would help improve my times. I just need the G Permutations in my head now.
