A Petrus speed tip; not that I'M speedy...

I use pseudo-blocks every now and then, it really increases the chances of getting an easy S4. When it's off by R2, LL recognition isn't much harder than normally, but I avoid the R and R' versions in speedsolving.

Isnt this a fewest moves trick?

With Petrus, fewer moves=faster. In fact, with ANY method, fewer moves mean faster.

Uhm...

U perm: R2 U R U R' U' R' U' R' U R'

is, in your theory, slower than:

F2 U' R' L F2 R L' U' F2

?????????????

Y perm: F R U' R' U' R U R' F' R U R' U' R' F R F'

is slower than:

R2 U' R2 U' R2 U F U F' R2 F U' F'

?????????

Well, 'xcept for finger-friendly algs. But you got my meaning, right?

Possibly, but the point remains that fewer moves does not mean faster. Faster means faster. Even besides algorithms, there are other examples, such as edge pairing methods for big cubes. The speed of an algorithm depends on how fast you can execute it as well as things like lookahead. Fewer moves is helpful, but not always better by any means.

If you want to test different ways of doing something, try timing both of them.

(I should mention at this point that I haven't watched your video yet and I'm not commenting on the worth of your idea. This is just a common misconception.)
