I find this method (Roux with CPFB) quite intriguing; challenging enough but not too difficult, and yields rather short results.
I wonder if there is an even better method, without getting FMC techniques involved like Skeleton or NISS.

Originally I found two 20-STM solutions with my CP/Roux hybrid, but I felt there should be a better one. Then I found my shortest solution yet: 18-STM! (Also, 20-HTM, not bad I think!)

First, I only know the basics and some theories, but I lack the practical experience. For example, I know what NISS is, how and why it works, but I can't do it comfortably. I'm not a good FMCer.
Second, this challenge is already a brain twister. I don't need to kill more brain cells.
Third, I don't want to spend an hour on a single solve... I rather do other example solves across the board.
I was merely suggesting that someone with good FMC skills could bring these solutions even lower - my guess is close to 10 moves. It seems to me that ignoring the orientation roughly halves the required moves. But that's just a hunch.
