4 Pad is Coming Next Year

[Swagrid]

Good change. Negligible to no effect on your average unless you're world class or sliding.

[pi=3.14]

weird fact: on 2 pad, i can downsolve a 4 mover to about 0.26. On 4 pad with a 1 mover, i cant even break the current WR

[FenTheGoat]

wait this might suck for bld, and also for sprint events

I believe that you can stop a g5 timer with just the normal 2 pads

No, stops are 4 pads as well

But how to stop the timer with 4-pad with a blindfold on?

Won’t you eventually build the muscle memory to know where to put your thumbs?

[Puzzle Maniac]

Thankfully I already switched to 4-Pad a quarter of a year ago. Nice to see an actually good WCA decision for once cough cough.

[Thomas.Caleb]

Im happy for this to go through however sprint event records are never being beaten.

[Thomas.Caleb]

It will only not effect like mega and big cubes

[CrossPetrus]

Let’s go! Finally!!

I mean I just disagree. Most Monkey League competitors are getting medians at the same speed or sometimes faster than their big competition averages. 4pad clearly isn't slowing down even the fastest 3x3ers, so any event slower than 3x3 will surely also be barely, if at all, effected.

[-Cube Kid-]

Js wondering... In 4-Pad, do you have to stop the timer with your thumbs as well as start it?

Yes

[-Cube Kid-]

Yes

Well then, I'm cooked. Bld is cooked. Anyone with a Non-G5 is cooked. This stinks. (I see why they made this rule, but... REALLY?!)

[OtaMota]

Is monkey league 4pad

Yes

[TheCasualCuber]

That's gonna be a problem for 2x2 solvers and BLD solvers

[Swagrid]

Is monkey league 4pad

This last season was, yes.

Same guy who said they would quit cubing if 4 pad got added

[bluecubing]

This is a pretty cool change
