Community Feedback: how can the site improve?

Yo thanks bro but is there a chance that you added a "are you a robot" button to enter the website? Also now I have a gemini "ask" button on the bottom of my screen all the time, how do I remove it?
I don’t think pjk is in control of Gemini

Also everytime bots try to attack the servers the “are you a robot” button becomes more prevalent when accessing the website

The current system for accessing scrambles from historical weekly competitions is to go to this page and select the event, year, and week. Doing so results in a popup that shows all scrambles for that week for that event, provided of course that the week in question was 2012-01 or later and also provided the event in question was a SpeedSolving competition event at that time.

However, if one wants to, say, copy the scrambles from that competition and then paste it into something like cstimer, they are unable to because you can't copy-paste from this popup. I am wondering if the implementation of historical scrambles can be changed to allow copy-pasting. A "Copy" button would also be nice.

I'm pretty sure that the implementation wouldn't even require a lot of change: I'm guessing the current way it works is you press a button and then a JavaScript function runs which makes a popup with the proper headings that also features the scrambles. Surely it could be changed to a different JS process that downloads a txt file, or shows a hidden table, or something similar?

Thanks for considering this. I don't want to sound presumptuous or greedy somehow by assuming how easy it is. For all I know it could be a super complicated process.

That's weird. I seem to be able to copy and paste from that popup. Here is what I copied from the current scrambles at the link you gave:
1. D F' R F2 R2 L2 D' L' F D L2 F2 D2 R2 D B2 U' B2 L2
2. R2 U F2 L' B' R' F R2 F2 D R2 U R2 D L2 D' B2 U2 B
3. B U' D' F L2 U' F U2 R B2 R F2 R2 L' F2 D2 R2 U' F U2
4. U L2 U2 F2 U' L2 D' F2 B' D2 B D' U' B2 F U R D R
5. R' D' L B2 F2 L' U2 F2 U2 F2 U2 L D' L2 R' U F' L B'
Perhaps it has something to do with the browser you're using?

I can't copy paste either... It probably does have something to do with the browser you're using. I'm on Brave.

Either that or a question mark. Until then, we shall use the angry reaction in its place! Please give us meh or a thumbs down button, we need a way to express disapproval without an entire message.
I wholeheartedly agree with the question mark expressing confusion, but I believe that the angry and eyes up emojis were overused and was an indirect way to being aggressive. It was hurtful and many of us experienced it although a lot of what we said contributed to whatever was being responded to.
I am probably going to get the angry reaction right now because I said this, but I am speaking in behalf of all the other members who feel hurt about this too. We do not intend to do anything wrong. We don't intend to say anything wrong. We are sorry for upsetting any of you. Please though, there are kinder ways of saying to us that what we said was unimportant and unwanted. Why even react to us at all? There is always the "ignore" button next to the members profile. That way, you never have to put up with us ever again. That is a fair bargain. You don't need to feel upset when there is nothing to be upset at. We will no longer be there to disturb you.I suggest you use the ignore button more than you need to use the negative emotions.
Again, I and my friends are sorry if whatever we said upset you guys. We love the forums and enjoy being here because of people like you...just please be less aggressive with the negative emojis.
(This is not talking to you specifically, Kami. This statement I quoted addressed an issue that I personally felt needed to be voiced on. )

honestly I think they were rarely used to attack people. Disagreeing is not being aggresive.

reactions aren’t even a word, it’s a literal emoji😭🙏. It’s much better than someone actually putting their disagreement into words,

TDLR; it’s just an emoji, don’t be too serious about it💀

don't be too serious about it
some people have told me themselves that they feel attacked and hurt by the emojis, which is why I have said that (in part)
If someone actually did put their disagreement in words, try to imagine how upset you would feel if several people were doing this to you. They just use the emojis as a different way of expressing it. While I appreciate them not voicing it, the emojis still have hurt people.
And they are reactions in a way. Why else are they there? You wouldn't like a post if you felt no reaction to it. I use them as reactions, but I am probably wrong to do that. Sorry...

yes man i agree, i feel attacked with that thing
please, i need the angry emoji to be replaced

except the thing is that I don’t feel upset because I see the reactions as emojis

It’s not like people are trying to purposely put me down with those emojis, it’s just that they strongly disagree with me, which is fine, because life is FULL of people like that.

To be fair, though, using the ignore button is kinda extreme unless you really have a good reason. I really hope no one has ignored me! But I 100% agree with everything that you said.

I know that this isn't entirely directed towards me, but I thought that I should mention that a lot, I'd reckon the majority, of the recent angry reactions come from people using it in place of confused, as this is what I've been using it for.

Most people don't want to block/ignore y'all just because of a few distasteful/annoying messages, when a simple dislike or confused reaction could easily make it known that the specific message isn't needed.

Thanks for the clarification.
I misunderstood what was being said, and am sorry for the wrong assumptions.
I appreciate you clarifying that for me, because now I understand why we see those reactions. If that is the case, then definitely they should bring the thumbs down and confused reactions back.
Of course, I think the question mark should be here also. I have been requesting that ever since the emojis were changed.

I mean y'all got a point we need more emojis, the mods ain't going to be happy when people start using "I dont get it?" Or "???" Instead of confused. Based on the rule that this isnt a chat room, and we shouldn't bump threads too much with low effort messages, why aren't there more reactions
By the way this what gemini says

I love the new solves page on my profile, but PLEASE make it not show my deleted solves as my PB. Rn my pb is 0.503 seconds.

Ngl I didn't know of this, I might start using the SS timer more often now.
The release of the timer in the last few weeks showed there was a lot of interest in using it. So I made a ton of improvements to it, and just announced a beta release here:

Looking forward to your feedback. Thanks guys.
