Hello speedsolvers,
We added a Cubing Timer to the menu so you can easily time and track your solves across all puzzles! Today, we're excited to share some new capabilities:
Visit the Timer Page Here
You can use the timer as a guest (stored locally in your browser), but we encourage you to log in to save solves directly to your account.

There are two ways to get to your progress data:
You can change this at any time: Go to Account → Privacy
Find Who can see your solves >> Pick one of: Everybody · Members only (default) · People you follow · Nobody
-> Nobody means nobody — the tab disappears for everyone else (you can still see your own).
Open the Timer →
Thanks and happy cubing!
We added a Cubing Timer to the menu so you can easily time and track your solves across all puzzles! Today, we're excited to share some new capabilities:
- Progress Tracking & Analytics: Track progression over time for each puzzle, see analysis of your solves, and plot progress over time. This can be displayed on your profile publicly or privately (you control this). By default, times are displayed to other members in the Solves tab on your profile.
- Importing: Easily import your solves and history directly from csTimer!
You can use the timer as a guest (stored locally in your browser), but we encourage you to log in to save solves directly to your account.
How to Access "My Progress"
After timing a few solves, click on My Progress. The more solves you make and practice, the more useful and interesting the data gets! It also saves daily streaks to encourage consistent practice. Here is a preview:
There are two ways to get to your progress data:
- From the timer — Open the timer, click More, then select My progress →
- From your profile — Click your name in the top right, choose Your profile, then open the Solves tab.
What’s Tracked in the Timer?
Pick any puzzle you've timed along the top — all 15 WCA events are supported, from 2×2 through 7×7, plus 3×3 OH, Clock, Megaminx, Pyraminx, Skewb, Square-1, and 3×3 / 4×4 / 5×5 Blindfolded. It automatically opens on whatever you practice most!- Overview: Four headline numbers across the top — total solves, total time spent solving, days practiced, and your best day streak.
- Personal Bests: Your best single, Ao5, Ao12, Ao50, and Ao100 for the selected puzzle. Blindfolded events show Mean of 3 instead of rolling averages (since one DNF wipes out an Ao5, Mo3 is what blindsolvers actually track).
- Progress Chart: Your best Ao12 and best single plotted over time, so you can see the line come down. Switch between 30 days / 90 days / 1 year / All time.
- Insights: Observations about your solving written from your own numbers — how much faster your average is than a month ago, how consistent your recent times are, when your biggest session was, and a nudge if you've been sitting on the same record for a while.
- Practice Heatmap: A calendar heatmap (one square per day) shaded by how much you solved. Gaps and streaks jump straight out!
- Time Distribution: A histogram of where your times actually land, rather than just the best and the average.
- Recent Sessions: A table of your latest sessions with solves, best time, Ao12, mean, and timestamps.
Who Can See Your Solves?
By default, only logged-in members can see your solves. They are not public to the open web and not visible to search engines. You can change this at any time: Go to Account → Privacy
Find Who can see your solves >> Pick one of: Everybody · Members only (default) · People you follow · Nobody
-> Nobody means nobody — the tab disappears for everyone else (you can still see your own).
A Few Other Things the Timer Does
- PB Notifications — A
pops up the moment you set a new record.] - Offline / Disconnect Protection — Your solves are safe if you close the tab or lose internet connection. They are queued and sent in batches, so anything unsent survives a reload and uploads when you re-connect.
- Restore from Server — New device or cleared browser? Pull your solves back down from your account in the More panel.[]Export / Import — Download all your solves as a JSON file, or use Copy backup and Paste restore to move them via your clipboard.[
- Sessions — Create, rename, and delete sessions to keep practice separate from serious attempts.
Thanks and happy cubing!
