I want to point out that my recent activity has been reported as spam. I want to thank you guys for these reports, as they have made me aware of what my recent activity has been like.
A moderator approached me and said in so many words that it was no biggie, just work on my frequency of posts and all is good.
The work the moderators do is tough, and having to tolerate members such as myself can be difficult at times. However, being as loving and reasonable as they are, I have been the exception for many things. I initiated a petition to bring back a banned member. I have replied to aggressive content. I have spammed "good morning" to people and,as of recently, spamming to newer members "hi" "hi, so nice to meet you" "welcome to the forums" etc. Yet I have not been banned while the rules clearly show that I have been violating them. The moderators simply have warned me not to do these again, and left me alone.
While it is very nice of them to be so lenient with me, I feel that some action needs to be taken. Rules are not meant to be broken, and yet I have broken several of them (mentioned above) and there are consequences. I should not be the exception this time. I have been reported as spam, and I have been spamming, and should be punished as spam.
The moderator said this was more of a minor offense. No biggie. This was more of a warning to me. Since it is a minor offense, and still considered spam, here is the penalty
Spamming will not be tolerated, and if me being banned for a 5 day period is appropriate, then vote yes, I should be banned for the 5 days.
If you think I have been warned properly, then vote no.
There are penalties for rules violation. Please review the rules thoroughly so no more of them are violated any time soon. I know I will review the rules myself soon.
Thanks for your time! And please continue doing the right thing by letting the moderators know if there are any issues you may need help with. They work hard, and are always ready to help! They are reasonable and appreciated. Thanks to them we can enjoy a forum based on cubing!
