I am against any event removed. It hurts me a lot, as well as the community.

Rubik's magic, Master magic, old style, feet and now clock.
Each omission hurt a lot.

To minimize the hurt for the next event removal, let's plan a coping mechanism. But first we should probabilistically know what event the WCA will target as an unfavorable event according to them. 😭

seems that nxn cubes? 7x7? 5 bld - seems this is what the poll was indicating?
(did not realize that 7x7 scrambles could have errors...)
Big cubes like 6x6 and 7x7 are very hard to scramble, leading to them being misscrambled quite often.

Well magic and master magic were inevitable. They aren't even puzzles and it was something that was bound to happen.

And old style wasn't really an event removed, it was more like they just re-tooled how the event went. They didn't take it away because multi still exist just done differently. And good thing did it when cubing was less popular. multi old style would be a nightmare to run, espically at championships. Like 8+ hr multi attempts.

Feet is something I can see. At the time it was the least popular event and there were a lot of hygiene issues among other things.

7x7 and 5BLD will definitely be the next to go, and rightfully so in my opinion. I see them as just extensions of 6x6 and 4BLD that don't really offer anything new. However, they aren't really causing any issues that I know of organizationally, so maybe they'll stay a while.
