We are all getting cooked by an 8 year old now. What is going on?

Every time I see a new WR, I always wonder when we're going to reach an "endpoint." Like, when will it no longer be physically possible to go faster? Crazy to think about, but congrats to Xuanyi!

I think that the WR average will peak at around 3 seconds or just below 3 seconds and the single will get to a little below 2 seconds. But who knows, people get this wrong all the time.

ikr it is the 2nd sub 3 solve ever, i am very excited for the upcoming future of the speedcubing future (if there is no bad stuff)

I just saw a reconstuctuion of the solve and there was nothing THAT crazy about it apart from the easy ZBLL... I mean it was 0.04 seconds slower than wr, but it didn't had a triple xcross like teodor. It was just a normal xcross. But his solution was actually very good, especially with the multislotting. His last pair was inserted in a goofy ahh way. I guess that's how ZBLS algs are.

i think what's most insane is that fact that 4 different solvers (xuanyi, qixian, bofan, yi shen) did the EXACT same solution, truly just did the OO solution akin to the 2x2 solvers in worlds
& okay i guess it couldve easily happened in worlds finals given that quite a bunch of different solvers did the same cross+3 on solve 4, but still
