[WR] Xuanyi Geng 3x3 3.84 Average

you guys remember when people were wondering “what if there was a cuber that had the TPS of Yiheng and the efficiency of Tymon”?

looks like the cubing gods answered that question by bringing xuanyi into this world

like xuanyi uses ZB and pseudo-slotting (tymon was the one known for that), which yiheng doesn’t use, and then xuanyi’s TPS is pretty much almost of yiheng’s level, and then his ZB recognition is as fast my PLL recognition now too😭💀

I think the question was “what if there was a cuber that had the TPS of max and the efficiency of Tymon”? Yiheng’s solutions are very efficient and I remember that question popping up 4ish years ago when Tymon got the first sub 5 average. I’m surprised Yiheng doesn’t Pseudo slot.

Pseudo just isn’t very commonly used/promoted/taught in China.

XuanYi really likes how Tymon solves though, and uses it.

Just my general assumption that improvement slows down as you get older, even for 12 year olds. And someone that's 2/3 his age is already improving at a faster rate. I'd be happy if Yiheng and Xuanyi have a rivalry that lasts for years though, that would be great to watch.
Since this group of kids is the first generation that trained in a very professional way from an early age, it is probably too early to say if and when they will peak. I hope they keep improving, and if will be a fun few years for the cubing world!
