This is a forum competition inspired by Jujutsu Kaisen’s Culling Games.
Game Rules
1.) You may earn points by defeating other players in matches, or by receiving them through other players.
2.) If you do not gain any points in 14 days, you will be eliminated.
3.) If you wish to add a rule, you need 70 points. The rule added cannot risk ending the game or risk the fairness of the game. eg. a rule that allows players to leave the game/a rule that allows players to gain +1000 free points.
4.) Points may be transferable to other players. There is no limit to the points you can transfer.
5.) If you lose 5 consecutive matches, you will be eliminated. Exception: if you have been in the game for less than 7 days, this rule does not apply.
6.) You cannot transfer points to another player and have them transfer the points back.
7.) You may challenge players to a match. A match is where two players compete in an ao5 in an event of their choice. The events held are limited to all 17 WCA events. The points given to the winner are divided into the following sections (3x3)
If the loser is:
Sub-20 -> 3 points
Sub-10 -> 5 points
Sub-8 -> 8 points
The players must announce their global average upon joining the game. Based on the players’ global averages, they will be ranked in tiers. Here are the tiers (3x3)
Low Tier: >20 second global
Mid Tier: >10 second global
High Tier >6 second global
A player placed in the high tier can only challenge a player in the mid/low tier three times a week. Here is a graph of which tiers can challenge which (arrow signifies challenge)
high tier -> mid tier (3 times a week)
mid tier -> low tier (5 times a week)
low tier -> mid tier (unlimited)
mid tier -> high tier (unlimited)
8.) You cannot challenge a player more than 1 time per day.
9.) you cannot challenge more than 2 players at a time.
Game Mechanics
To join the game, you will simply announce that you want to join the game, together with your global for the WCA events that you do. The game will start once 16 people have been reached. Additional players may join the game. There is no competitor cap. Once the game has started, you may challenge other players to a battle. Similarly, other players may challenge you to a battle. Or you can do nothing, as long as you follow Rule 2 (except if someone gives you points before then). Rule 5 applies for any newcomers, INCLUDING the exception. If you win a match, you will get x amount of point depending on the level of your opponent. If you lose, you will lose points depending on your level. A player can join your match with your opponent only IF you and your opponent mutually agree to allow an extra player in. You may also add rules. This cycle repeats until there is only one player left, who will be announced the winner of the game.
Abilities
An Ability will be granted to a player once every week. The ability granted to the player will be randomly chosen from the four abilities here:
Ability 1: Anti-Penalty Penalties are not counted. Can be used throughout the entire match
Ability 2: Sliding allows the user to slide and gain an advantage. Can only be used once in an average. However, if you accidentally stop the timer while doing so, it will be counted as a DNF even if you have Anti-Penalty. Abuse of this ability will result in a penalty equivalent to one losing match.
Ability 3: Infinite Inspection Allows the user to inspect for as long as they want. Lasts for the entire average.
Ability 4: First Two Moves Allows the user to turn the cube twice before starting the timer. However, this can only be used once and if the user changes his/her mind mid-turn, they cannot undo it.
You may keep abilities and store them overtime to use in later rounds. There is no limit to which rounds you can use it in. You must show that you have used an ability (if you used one) together with your submitted average.
PS. Here are the tiers/points awards for the other events
