I understand why people think these songs are so nostalgic, but literally it is not that hard to just LISTEN to them who said you can't lol

Also if you want more nostalgic youtube songs, a lot were made by Kevin MacLeod, such as fluffing a duck and carefree.

I know this thread hasn’t been active in like 7 months but I was about to make a new thread on this topic and found this one, so I think it’s a good reason to revive it.

I typically listen to Neutral Milk Hotel and The Strokes while cubing, in addition to a bunch of random stuff. I mostly listen to albums all the way through. Some of my favorites are Long Season by Fishmans, One Two by Sister Nancy, and Songs in the Key of Life by Stevie Wonder.

Anyone EXCEPT me listen to non western music, or even non western classic?

I’d like to say I do. Like I said previously, I typically listen to One Two by Sister Nancy, which is Raggae. I also like some Japanese stuff (like Fishmans) but the stuff I like takes a lot of roots from western media. Like psychedelia and Raggae found in Fishmans, jazz influences in city pop, or shoegaze influences in bands like What is Your Name?

I love Neutral Milk Hotel, and lets just say i'm a big fan of The Strokes

Long Season is incredible, especially the live version. I'm big into japanese shoegaze too, especially Mass of the Fermenting Dregs and Pasteboard.

What i'd reccomend that i've been really getting into lately is Black Country, New Road (specifically Ants from Up There) and the arising post rock movement of bands like Racing Mount Pleasant, Mouseatouille and Candelabro (who CubistGuitar actually recommended to me a few days ago)

P.S no shade to the others on the thread but it's nice to see someone who listens to some music with depth

[Powstick]

I listen to gd music or a stucube video
