My advice thread for any events accept bld, fmc, and oh

how do i sub 6
idk I think at that level it ultimately depends on the bad habits/issues of the solver but learning ZB is good no matter what kind of bad habits the solver has

I personally think my bad turning is holding me back from getting sub-7 (along with my inconsistent pauseless lookahead)

but you are faster than me so lol

Imo whether or not the hand i use for algs doesnt affect my speed.
And to my knowledge alot of left handed cubers use their left hand for OH since right handed algs are easier to find and how i just said in cubing my weak hand isnt weak at all lmao.
Yeah, I've seen in a lot of sports that generally, you can't be one sided, you need to be ambidextrous to become good, like how basketball lessons, my coach told me that I need to start learning to do everything with both right and left hand, because who knows what side of the court you are out on, you need to be as good on both, you can't just say I only play on the right side
So if in cubing you can't use your left hand, then you should start doing that, getting more comfortable and being able to do like all f2l pairs lefty and crosses (not saying this directly to you, I'm referring to who can't use both hands in solves)

this has nothing to do with which hand you use for OH

He said about lefty and righty algs, so it's on topic

Honestly, if my left hand is more naturally dexterous for a one-handed task and my right hand is less so, I don't see any real advantage in trying to switch.

I can write with both hands, but my right hand is definitely my primary and more dexterous one for writing. When it comes to using a mouse, though, my left hand is the clear winner.

For any task, I'll always stick with the hand I have the most skill with... even if the other one could technically manage. I'm not interested in forcing a permanent switch away from my main hand for a specific task.

but in general, this is an excellent advice.

for 2H solving I can solve pairs and apply algs no matter the slot or position

since the beginning I used to just mirror PLLs and OLLs so it's natural for me, and it's a very important skill

I'm sorta similar in being mixed-handed (not ambidextrous which is much rarer). I strongly prefer writing with my right hand but eating and brushing my teeth with left. I'm not particularly coordinated either so maybe it's just habit. In osu the mouse or tablet pen is on the right which matches for me. In violin or viola the right hand controls the bow while left hand does fingering which is also kinda similar.
