The Cubing Elo Social Survival Game | Entry Still Open

Election nominations start now! Voting on the laws and pfp closes in 48 hours, so far @That_slow_guy 's law has one vote and nothing else has a vote. As for the pfp, @eeeeeeeee has one vote and @L4NC3_D4_AS14N has one vote. And then the cubing challenges-

@CubeLite

Challenge- Skewb OH without using the table on one foot.
Time- I got a 1:17.90, pretty easy.

@eeeeeeeee

I hate you.

Challenge- 5BLD with Never Gonna Give You Up playing on repeat.
Time- 14:20, off by 4 + centers(not sure why) but all the other pieces were wrong just because I made one wrong move.
I'll do this again to try for a success, but only up to 3 attempts total.

I'm running again for president, with the same promises as last time(except the pfp and the ELO). I promise to lead and serve with the same dedication as I'm doing the rickrolling 5BLD challenge.

LAW 003
You roll a dice(online if you want) before every round, and if you roll a 1 or a 6 you can swap out the 3x3 for a Pyraminx, a Skewb or a Clock for either one of your solves or 10% of your solves. You don't have to tell your opponent if you roll a 1 or a 6, and the same applies if through some other law the 3x3 has been changed to another puzzle.
Duration- Forever

You should reword this.

LAW 003
Before starting each round, the competitor must roll a standard six-sided die (d6), either physically or through a verified digital platform.

If the result is a 1 or a 6, the competitor is granted the option to substitute the agreed-upon puzzle with a Pyraminx, Skewb, or Clock for either one solve or 10% of their total solves in that round, whichever is greater.

This substitution may be executed without disclosure to the opponent, and the die roll result does not need to be revealed.

This rule remains in effect regardless of whether the originally agreed-upon puzzle is a Pyraminx, Skewb, or Clock.
Duration- Forever

This clarifies the dice needed to use. If I were good at any of those, I would roll a 2-sided dice, changing my odds from 33% to 50%. The last sentence clarification is because I don't think you're worried about a law changing the puzzle you start with, but how it affects this law.

Kinda happy with this

I'm retired, no longer a cubist but am now a chessist. However, I have returned because I am a sociopath and want to see how this concept plays out.
(In part inspired by @gsingh's cubing stock game, thanks.)

The Cubing Elo Game Concept
This is a competition between all those who sign up to reach the highest Elo and not be eliminated. The Elo system will work exactly the same as chess, as described in Wikipedia (K=32 initially).
Each player will start out with 1500 Elo (3dp). Playes can challenge other players by announcing a challenge in this thread, and for how many solves they want to challenge them. Each solve is treated like a game. Elo will be updated after the challenge is finished.
Once the challenge is announced, the challenged person announces whether they wish to compete or not. If they choose to compete, I will post the scrambles and the times will be compared. Elo will be adjusted accordingly. If the challenged person refuses, they will lose 5% of their Elo, 2.5% of which will be given to the challenger.
A player can not be challenged twice prior to 50% of all other players being played or challenged.
Every week, there will be a general election for Prime Minister. Candidates must pay 100 Elo to be a registered candidate. The PM will be elected using a full preferential vote, and the winner will receive 300 Elo.
Bribing and deals are allowed but must be announced here. Once the PM is elected, he has the power to make laws regarding this thread that last for his term, and must be addressed as Prime Minister.
Every week, those who's elos have increased must pay income tax, 20% of their earnings. Those who lose Elo do not get welfare payments.
Players may gift other players Elo points for a fee of 20 Elo or 1% of their Elo, whichever is smaller. Alternately, players can take out loans with other players, with an interest rate of 2% per day. Half the interest is given to the person who gave out the loan, half is taken by the bank.
Failing to challenge or be challenged within a week: 10% of Elo
Failing to respond to a challenge within 2 days: 5% of Elo, half of which goes to challenger. I personally love these formats, where everything is tied not only to skill but also to the psychology of the participants. It's somewhat similar to gambling: there, too, you have to balance strategy, luck, and interaction with other players. I went to https://pokiespros.com/no-verification-casino/ to play without unnecessary verification, and I experienced a similar feeling of excitement, where any decision can change the outcome. So the very idea of such an Elo tournament is not only about cubing but also about social skills, and I think that's precisely what makes it so valuable.
Failure to vote in an election: 50 Elo or 5% of Elo.
To make this a social game, interaction with other players in private chats is allowed, including teaming, scheming and deal making, as long as I am added and involved.

The total Elo pool will reduce over time, hence, the last person remaining wins!
The competition starts now, you can join and begin playing at any time within 3 weeks. However, if you join late, you will be subject to the challenge per week penalty.
It reminded me of board strategy games, where winning a single round isn't as important as mastering the long game.
