My cube is an rs3m v5 thats glossy instead of uv. I find the grip better and the cube is more durable.

How do we know that it is a new version by MoYu and SCS didn't just take the caps off all the pieces and replace them with the non-UV ones from the standard version, if they are charging $35 for it then that is viable

The rs3m v5 doesnt have removable caps.

That’s the split piece design. Caps would be like having GAN cube that has black/primary internals and the “stickers” are caps that you can put onto the internal piece to make the entire piece.

It's clear what cuber314159 meant by caps here.
Just because it isn't a literal 'cap' as such, they still cover (or cap) the stalk, and can be replaced just like caps.

Sorry, I should probably have said the pieces in the split piece design, I sell spare parts for the RS3M V5 so I should definitely know how the piece design works. My point still stands though - it is possible to use the pieces of the regular rs3m V5 in the ball core version so that you have a ball core version without the UV coating.

I swapped the corner magnets into an RS3M 2020 body, effectively doing an organ transplant.

However, @AhsanDaCuber125 was the first person that I know of to pioneer this idea.
