Hey everyone!

I’ve been building Nexus Timer, an all-in-one speedcubing platform designed to feel like a real modern app: clean, fast, and smooth on both desktop and mobile.

It’s more than just a timer.

Happy solving! ⏱️

Hi everyone,

I have been working on a new timer with a modern user interface compared to traditional webs. The intention it's involve into a native experience on desktop as mobile apps does.

Your feedback, would be greatly appreciated. 👍

- sync data between devices it's on progress, I'm verifying how handle it without increase too much pricing. You can comment about everything else.

UI looks very good!

Two very very picky things:
1. When pressing the timer (I’m on the website on an iPad atm), it goes straight to Green rather than orange then green (press and hold time) so if one taps the screen by accident they lose their scramble
2. It was confusing to get started on the site, I clicked add a cube and added a 3x3, then got put to a different page, and then had to create a session and then start timing. I would advise making a default 3x3 session to start with

Otherwise very very good! Cross platform sync is prolly the next step. Also glorify the hint feature more lol, that thing shocked me

Edit: I just saw the setting to enable press and hold to start (whoops). I would make that default on

I agree about the defaults^.
I wasn’t able to create a session without manually inputting a description of my cube.
While that might be a nice feature for those who want to track such things, it isn’t for me. I’d have preferred just to get started. (People have short attention spans these days!)

Looks great and it works well though.

1. To avoid misclicks when starting the timer, it is necessary to enable the "hold to start" option in the settings.
2. For the default 3x3 session, I hadnt thought about that. Good idea!

Thanks for feedback!

You don't create a session in some category; you create a virtual cube that stores metrics. Over time, you'll find it valuable to have a historical record of your cubes rather than only overall category statistics. Later, I'll add a feature to compare and analyze sessions across cubes, its gonna get interesting .😅

I genuinely don't understand what this means.

I'm gonna be a bit harsh here, but (given that you asked for feedback): telling me what you think I want isn't how feedback usually works...

Anyway, thanks for the reply and best of luck with it.

Sorry, I was rude. I just tried to clarify the concept and showcase. Storing "solves" based on cubes intead of categories is unusual in cubing applications.

Thanks for the feedback! I have it clear, i need simplify the onboarding process.

This is a small thing, but when you do your first solve it still says that you beat your previous best
Great catch on those small details!

What do you think: should we remove the alert for the first solve, or update it with a special message when it's the first solve in the category?😅

It would also be cool if you had a leaderboard for the top 10 or so and then if you're not in the top 10 then your rank is displayed somewhere. A
There could be a leaderboard for single, avg, and overall for an event. Also maybe adding something where you can see the deleted scrambles just in case you accidentally lost a good scramble or solve.

I was thinking to add an "undo" button in the pop-up message after deleting it, just in case a missclick. But I didn't think someone would ask for it soon haha 💥

About leaderboard, I'm afraid of adding that feature. People will not act with ethic. Doing solves with 0.01 sec... That stuff. Besides, there's not enough people using the app, to at least do a top 10 😂

Yeah I get the leaderboard issues. The undo feature would be great though

Nice app. I'll check it out and give you some feedback if that's acceptable to you. If you agree, I'll make a full review of the app.
