How did his parents help him cheat? Sorry if I'm being oblivious and missing something entirely
Weren't they also the ones who would walk in front of cameras to keep his stops from being filmed? There were reports that his parents had intentionally disconnected displays so that it couldn't be easily detected when he stopped the timer early.

I don't think the WCA has released the official investigation document to the public yet (someone correct me if I am wrong), and the only place that this was talked about (regarding the investigation) is here: https://www.worldcubeassociation.org/posts/wdc-monthly-digest-july-2019Where is the investigation doc?
What's ironic is that he's almost as fast as his fake times.Sorry about the bump, but I just wanted to say that the ban was not permanent, and this guy is actually competing again now.
5 years sounds reasonableSorry about the bump, but I just wanted to say that the ban was not permanent, and this guy is actually competing again now.
5 years sounds reasonable
I quoted you, just 5 years laterIdiots forever!
Almost is the keyword here, he still hasn't surpassed the times he was faking five years ago…What's ironic is that he's almost as fast as his fake times.
Not really, he claimed a 6.20 average five years ago, and his PR is still 7.6, so not really close at allWhat's ironic is that he's almost as fast as his fake times.
What about Kalindu? This is a similar situation, and Kalindu got an 8-year ban. I think that a 5-year ban was a good time frame, but I’m glad that Nazar is back and not framing his times.I think a five-year ban is too long. I think 6 - 12 months would be more reasonable, Compared to other sports...
Can you name any others besides Kalindu and Nazar?now 5 year bans have become too common.
This Turkish delegate or something? Can you any others besides Kalindu and Nazar?
Ok, 3 in 5+ years? This Turkish delegate or something?

Nazar's last competition before the ban was around June 2019. He started competing again around April 2023. So not a 5 year ban. I'm also glad he is back.now 5 year bans have become too common.
