F2L w/ EO:Thank you @Garf I appreciate the honest advice! If you could link the videos at some point that’d be great![]()
Great job!So a little update! I'm getting much closer to sub 30 now, which is still my next target. I keep telling myself the next target is the last one I'll aim for, but we all know how that goes!!
I'm still using a method somewhere in between beginner and CFOP, I don't remember ALG's easily so taking my time.
A question though - has anyone had an ALG completely drop out of their brain? I literally forgot the alg I used to use for swapping last layer opposite centres. I hadn't had it come up for a while, and couldn't for the life of me remember it so had to relearn!! I also found I needed to slow down SUNE because I kept stuffing it up. Have I reached my brains capacity for ALGS? o_Oo_O

Awesome job!!! You are doing great, and everyone improves at their own time!! May you get many more sub 30s, because now you know that you can!So an amazing thing happened! I got a Sub 30 second time! slow for some people I know, but0 was my next goal and am so happy to have made it!
That must feel so good!! Do you use 2-look OLL and 2-look PLL? If not, I would strongly suggest that you learn it at this stage. I would also recommend that you start understanding intermediate intuitive F2L. What is your current goal?So an amazing thing happened! Lookahead is very important, but before you master lookahead, you should work on your F2L solutions. I average 18 seconds and I still don’t do lookahead because my F2L solutions are not always ideal. Lookahead isn’t necessary until you average around 16-17 seconds, or when most of your F2L solutions are efficient. It does feel great @JennahI am using 2 look OLL/PLL yes. My biggest slow points are still F2L, specifically look ahead to next pair) and occasionally losing track of edges on cross
.
My current goal is to bring my average down. If I could have it between 30-40 seconds that'd be great!
A good thing to help get better at the cross is finding all of your cross pieces in inspection and figuring out a way to solve them in around 7 moves. That way you’re only thinking of the moves and not the pieces themselves. It does feel great @JennahI am using 2 look OLL/PLL yes. That's great! Usually after you first single sub x you break that mental barrier and they become a lot more common. So an amazing thing happened! I got a Sub 30 second time! slow for some people I know, but0 was my next goal and am so happy to have made it!

Agreed, and a great way to implement all of this into solves is to do intentionally slow untimed solves.A good thing to help get better at the cross is finding all of your cross pieces in inspection and figuring out a way to solve them in around 7 moves.
