A new FMC theory?

That is a fundamental misunderstanding of the situation. Its not that longer EOs generally give better solutions. On average a shorter EO will give a better solution than a longer EO, but there is just exponentially more EOs for each additional move, which overcompensates this. Hence a computer can find better solutions, if you allow him to search that deep. An FMCer does not have that computational power to continue on so many starts or find them in the first place, so they will have to make a cutoff for their EO length to keep it in the time limit. Thats a reason why Kalindus solutions were so suspicious.

Thank your very much for your valuable reply. I would like not to talk much about brother Kalindu here, instead about this controversionally new FMC theory.

As you mentioned that having longer EOs normally dont finish with short DRs, Do you think that if a person were to go through 60 long EOs upto 8 moves each and find around 10 DRs for each EO then would he be able to be the gods number?

And if a competitor can Do it within 1hr, Can he actually be the gods number forever?

Every scramble has 100s of EOs in 5. If you increase the EO length to 8, there'll be thousands of them. And not all of those are gonna be good ones. If you are gonna filter 60 of them, there's no guarantee that they will be any good. Statistically it'll be impossible to find 600 DRs in an one hour attempt, that's 10 DR per minute and 1 every 6 seconds.

Having met him personally, Kalindu is a nice guy. But he definitely abused his delegate status to cheat, whether you wanna believe it or not

You're saying the term a lot, but I don't think you know what "God's number" even means.

You should do a couple of FMC attempts yourself and see how feasible (or infeasible) your idea is.
I will be trying this impossible thing to honour brother Kalindu no matter how long it takes (if god wills)

I agree that he terribly cheated, but I dont want to talk about him in this thread as I respect him so much because competitions in srilanka wouldnt be possible without him.

I dont mean to go through all EOs which length a max of 8 moves, but instead go through the ones that are promising.
And to take a farely different line I also invented something called the "double bad edge" and "single bad edge" theory which im working on developing

How do you figure out which ones are promising without also finding the ones that aren't promising? To find the good ones that are 8 moves, let's say, you need to find all of the EOs that are 8 moves. Nothing apart from the final state of the cube after EO will tell you whether the EO is good or not.

Let's engage with this.
If we ignore the time it takes to scramble, look, plan, basically if we only consider the time it takes to do DR. Scrambling, thinking, doing EO, and finishing the solve, as well as writing your thoughts down, all take 0 seconds.
You're only doing DR.
A decent FMCer can find a worthwhile DR after an EO in like 5-10 minutes. Scramble dependant. Let's call it down the middle and say 8 minutes.
8 minutes per DR, 60 EOs, 10 DRs each.
Unfortunately, with 60 minutes to find your solution. You can only get 7-8 DRs done in total. Which is a bad thing for this idea, as 7 is noticeably smaller than 600.

So let's add a new variable.

Assume every solver is permitted a line of cocaine before their attempt.
I would like to imagine the amount of found DRs would jump up to around 12-15. Enough to finish 1 EO, and maybe get halfway on a second. Unfortunately, we are still very short of the 60 EOs target. If we're pessimistic about it, and say that the artificially locked in solver gets 12 DRs, then we'd only be 1/50th of the way through the 600 DRs total.

In short, this idea would be good if attempts lasted 50 hours and FMCers had a doping scandal and you didn't need to scramble or think or solve eo or finish the solve after DR or sleep or eat.

Well this is where practice comes into play. Me just having knowledge wont be enough, I must have some level of experience too and I concluded this after doing a small research on knowledge vs experience.

anyway even if I dont get to be the gods number, if someone who has more experience than me acheives it using my theories, I would kindly request them to mention #freekalindu wherever they spread their message of success.
And if youre wondering what will I acheive? I beleive I will atleaat be honoured by the title "Father of modern FMC".

To acheive the above here a some more theories im working on.

-Creating a full list of DR triggers where we efficiently do them while setting up HTR ( complex like ZBLL)

-Trying to lookahead and alter solutions
Eg. -altering EO which will be easy for DR
-Altering DR which will be easy for HTR

This is quite interesting and which I thought about a couple of days back.
One thing that I thought of was to tape 12 A4 papers and the paper on which the final solution should be written in. And it should be covered with a big piece of cloth like in MBLD. This will allow the competitor to more efficiently.

Another thing that I thought of requesting the WCA to ammend their rules related to solving the cube after scrambling and working on it. Where I thought why cant we use a gan cubing solver machine or any other machine which will make it faster. As FMC is where you are required to find the solution with the least number of moves and not solve it many times.

For a guy who doesn’t want to talk about Kalindu, you’ve managed to fail within one post

Me neither but this is hilarious nevertheless :D
Come on dude, Im trying to give my fullest respect to that gentleman. Imagine that youve been cubing for 10years and you are capable of acheiving many NRs but the fact being that youre unable to travel abroad for a Comp or no comps being held in your country. So, SriLanka was that kind of a country. And this gentleman made a dream to Come real. He helped us when I was in need and now its my turn to do it.

I agree that held totally did something terribly dirty, but guys imagine of the above situtation please.
